1. He grew up with his grandparents
Tshabalala was born on September 25, 1984, in Phiri, the first child of his parents Hadifele Rebecca (née Makhubu) and Isaac Tshabalala.
The name of his younger sister is Mpumi. Up until the age of 19, he resided in a face-brick home that belonged to his grandparents.
He resided there along with his sister and cousins. His father drove cabs for a living. He attended Seanamarena Secondary School in Phiri, Soweto, for his secondary education.
2. Tshabalala started out playing with the Kaizer Chiefs
Tshabalala participated in the Kaizer Chiefs academy but didn’t make the senior team until he had stints with Free State Stars and Alexandra United.
After Ea Lla Koto was demoted to the National First Division at the conclusion of the 2005–2006 season, the Chiefs welcomed back their own product in January 2007.
He eventually made his debut on August 31, 2007, in a 1-0 loss to Bidvest Wits. On November 24, 2007, Tshabalala played in his first Soweto derby, which ended in a 2-2 tie.
