Sibongile Mlambo is a Zimbabwean- South African actress based in the United States. She is known for starring in Netflix鈥檚 Lost in Space, the Starz historical adventure television series Black Sails and in films Honey 3 and The Last Face.

She is also best known for her role as Tamora Monroe on the MTV television series Teen Wolf, as Donna on the Freeform television series Siren, and voicing Melusi in the Ubisoft multiplayer game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.Let’s take a look at some if the most incredible facts about her;

1.She was born in Zimbabwe to a doctor father

Mlambo was born in Zimbabwe, and her father is a doctor. Mlambo has an older sister who is also an actress.Mlambo left Zimbabwe in 2005 to pursue her education in the United States and has lived in Texas, New York and briefly in Spain.

In 2011, Mlambo was living in South Africa, working in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Mlambo later moved back to the United States, settling in Los Angeles.Mlambo studied French and Spanish at Southern Methodist University and has a dance background.

She has starred in several movies including; starring as Eme in Starz network’s show Black Sails and starred as one of the leads, Ishani in Honey 3 next to Cassie Ventura and Kenny Wormald from Footloose.She also starred in the movie The Last Face as Assatu, and was Chadwick Boseman鈥檚 sister, Bianca, in the feature film Message From The King.

She grew up in Zimbabwe and was inspired to pursue the arts after playing a lead role in the Jury Prize-winning international feature, “Kini & Adams,” igniting her passion for the arts.In 2015, Sibongile relocated to Los Angeles, California, and continued passionately pursuing her craft.

Her credits include the Starz primetime Emmy award-winning drama “Black Sails”; Palme d’Or-nominated “The Last Face”; and French-South African collaboration, “Ladygrey,” where she was described as “an ensemble standout” by Variety’s Guy Lodge.

Sibongile Mlambo doesn鈥檛 like to restrict herself to certain opportunities. In 2009, she decided to try her luck on the popular competition show, America鈥檚 Got Talent to show off her dancing skills. Unfortunately for Sibongile, she didn鈥檛 make it very far.

Although it may seem like she is a newcomer to the entertainment industry and world, Sibongile Mlambo  is however not new. She got her start in in the late 90s but didn鈥檛 see a huge surge in her career until the mid 2010s.

9.She once wanted to be in the Olympics 

When Sibongile Mlambo was a kid she was heavily involved in gymnastics. At one point, she even dreamed of competing in the Olympics as a gymnast. Although her gymnastics career never took off, she still gets to incorporate some of the things she learned into her dance routines.
