Arnold Vosloo is a south African and American Actor. He was born in 1962 into a Pretoria acting family. His parents have been stage actors. Arnold’s Father ran a drive –in theatre in Alberton. He has one sister. Arnold Loves dogs and has a Staffordshire bull terrier called ‘Sophie’.

He served the military after high school. He left because of medical reasons. Later he enrolled in drama courses at Pretoria Technikon. It is south African Conservatory.

Vosloo began his acting career in South African Theatre. This is where he won several Dairo Awards for his performances. He became a naturalized United States citizen after marrying his Act of  Piracy and Skeleton Coast co-star Nancy Mulford. They divorced three years later. On 16 October 1998,
he married Southern California native Silvia Ahí, a Mexican-American marketing director.

Arnold Vosloo is famous for roles like Imhotep un the Mummy and the Mummy Returns. Also as Colonel Coetzee in Blood Diamond .

Imhotep is not the only character that Vosloo has played as an Egyptian. He has also played in an animated short movie called Superman/ Shazam: The Return of Black Adam. Arnold voiced Black Adam.

He was in the G.I Joe Movies. He played as Zartan, who looked very different from his Tv counterpart. This character gained shapeshifting powers. They enabled him to make on the role of the president of United States in the first G.I Joe movies

 He maintained the role by the second G.I Joe movies. Zartan had managed to kill most of the G. I Joes by launching air strikes against them. He was defeated by one his own student hence causing his disguise to fade.

Vosloo’s first movie appearance was in 1984 at his birth place of South Africa . The breakthrough Hollywood career began in 1992 with the movie 1492 conquest of paradise. In 1990 he was starred in ‘Boetie’ sequel Boetie op maneuvers.

He joined Die Dark man Die in 1996. Vosloo replaced Liam Neeson as the titular character Dark man. Also he is known for portraying villains in the John Woo film Hard Target . He played the title role of the 1999 film The Mummy and also its 2001 sequel.

Arnold Vosloo played as Imhotep in an ancient Egyptian high priest. He also played Francois Molay as the main villains henchman in 2003 film Agent Cody Banks.

 Along side with his film career Vosloo has been guest starred in multiple TV series. Some of them include The Red Shoe Diaries, American Gothic, Nash Bridges, charmed, Alias and the NCIS.

He was the main character in Veritas: The Quest. Arnold had also major role in the fourth season of24 and terrorist leader. He also appeared in the three episodes of chuck in 2009 as Fulcrum agent Vincent.

 Arnold played his first Hollywood movie in 1987 which was Steel Dawn. It was an American post-apocalyptic science fiction action film. 

Since he moved to holly wood Vosloo has made more than 90 appearances on the big and small screen. Including in Blockbusters like The Mummy Movie franchise. Vosloo became a local legend .

 Vosloo has been in the video games. His voice was chosen for the main hero ( Saul Myers) of video game Boiling point :Road to hell. It was published in summer 2005 by ATARI.B He portrayed the cobra mercenary and master disguise Zartan in the summer 2009 release.
