1. Lee Is the Son OF Film and Video Producers

Lee was born in London on April 24, 1994, to film and video producers Emily Lee and Jonathan Lee. His elder Theodora Lee’s sister is an author and advertising creator. When he was younger, he was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome.

The family moved to South Africa in 1996. Lee was raised in Knysna and Durban when he attended Crawford College, La Lucia.

Later on, Lee moved from South Africa to live with Alfie Deyes up to 2014. He then moved to a share’s apartments in London with fellow YouTuber Joe Sugg until 2016. In 2016 he relocated again to a shared apartment with Josh Pieters, a YouTuber.

Lee started the channel in 2011 and gained popularity through collaborations, pranks and comedy. His channel currently boasts more than 6.73 million subscribers and 256 videos. He later renamed it, Caspar.

He used to do videos with his fellow YouTubers and roommates, Joe Sugg, with his popularity in the spotlight coming from 2014 onwards. Later he and Joe Sugg started a production company realizing their own travel diary sequel film, Joe and Caspar Hit the Road.

His popularity gained him star guests like singer Ed Sheeran, Kevin Hart, Cara Delevingne, Dwayne Johnson, and Anna Kendrick. He debuted in Mumbai for the country’s fourth annual YouTube fan fest. His collaboration with Indian YouTubers gets the eyes of Rolling Stone India.

During a Rolling Stone India interview, he talked about what lies behind being a YouTuber and how it feels like a sense of responsibility as an entertainer.

He started a second YouTube channel, MoreCaspar. This channel didn’t receive more success than the other first channel. Moecaspar channel has close to 2 million subscribers. It has generated about 106 million views.

In 2015, he was featured in SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, he played the role of a seagull. The movie was the British version of the popular Hollywood franchise and featured his fellow YouTuber and friend Joe Sugg.

Later Joe Sugg and Lee made a travel documentary produced by BBC Worldwide, in which they traveled 1000 miles and a documentary about the entire trip.

He also hosted a talk show, The Crew, which aired on the Style Haul network. Finally, he appeared in the music video for Charli XCX’s 2017 Single, “Boys.”
