Infinity Pool Marina Bay Sands is the longest rooftop pool in the world at 150m long. The pool is located in Marina Bay in Singapore on the rooftop of the SkyPark building. The Marine Bay Sands Pool is a must-see for any visitor to Singapore.

It opens from Monday to Sunday,  opening time is at 6.30 Am and closes at 11.30 Pm on daily bases. Direction to the pool when you driving via East Coast Parkway Expressway, approximately 20 minutes drive leads directly into Sheares Avenue across the Benjamin Sheares Bridge and get to park your car on Bayfront Avenue, near Artscience Museum (North Entrance)

If there is a place you need to visit when in Singapore is Marina Bay Sands Infinity pool. The pool sits at the top of the Skypark building. It’s a 57-story building with an elevation height of 191m high.

It is the world’s largest rooftop pool and boasts an awesome panoramic view of Singapore’s spectacular skyline. The entire pool length is 142 m long and has a depth of 1.2 m while the kid’s section is 0.5m deep. It holds 1,424 cubic meters of water

The pool is divided into three areas: an adult area only a  family section that is friendly to all and a dedicated children’s pool. The infinity pool was has a visual illusion of disappearing edges that makes it look like you can fall but it very safe to swim.

The pool is only open to hotel guests staying at Marina Bay Sands who have access cards every day from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm at no cost.

2.  It is a Big Source of Revenue For the Singapore Economy

According to CNBC.com, in the last quarter of 2019 Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa contributed 1.5-2% to Singapore’s GDP, with Marina Bay Sands netting an income of over US$ 783millions.

The Marina Bay Sands has 2,561 rooms and suites with their prices ranging from US$500 to US$10,000 per night. In 2018, the hotel rooms generated a revenue of US$ 1.7 billion, with Marine Bay Sands contributing US$393 million despite a 12% share of sand’s total room inventory.

The retail shops at Marina Bay Sands in 2018 broke a record where their revenue amounted to US$ 179 million. It has employed over 10,000 workers who contribute greatly to the economy.

It also houses one of the most expensive casinos which attracts up to 150 high rollers every week, all holding accounts with not less than US$100,000. The bets at the VIP Baccarat table start at US$500  up to US$ 750,000.

4 . The Facility House an Underground Labyrinth

Did you know there’s an entire mini-city for employees tucked underneath Marina Bay Sands? It’s also known as Heart of House. Upon entering, you are supposed to exchange your card for a pass to access the gated area.

There, there is a convenience store operating for 24 hours where they can do shopping, a clinic, an ATM lobby and two 24 hours open dining rooms which are not only for employees. They have an outdoor garden with over 50 varieties of herbs.

The facility has staff changing rooms including shower facilities, and a wardrobe department with over 160,000 pieces of uniforms in conveyor belts and serves more than 8,000 hot meals to staff.

5.  Access to the Infinity Pool Marina Bay Sands

Access to the pool is open to all guests of the hotel, with no admission fee. To access the pool one needs to access the SkyPark building rooftop through one of its three buildings which poolside a huge spacecraft sitting on top of the sky.

The room card is used to grant access to the poolside. The pool’s disappearing edge is flaunting a high waist-high railing that protects you from a plunge over the side if you want to be bold.

Marina Bay Sands pool is a great place to relax and escape the hustle of the city with a calm vibe, a shade under palm trees, and a cool breeze.

6. SkyPark Observation Deck

If you are looking for a memorable experience while in Singapore, check out the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. It’s a breathtaking view while you walk by or sit on top of the hotel towers.

The good news is that, if you are not a guest in the hotel, you can get an admission ticket to visit the deck. The deck offers a 360° view of the Singapore skyline with a great photo experience.

7. Construction of Infinity Pool

The pool is constructed sitting at the top of the three towers, joining them on the 57th floor. The pool sits at a height of 191m from the ground, 146m long. The deepest side is at 1.5m and has a water capacity of 1,425 cubic meters.

The supporting structure is made of stainless steel weighing 191000 kg. The construction work took seven months to complete. The parts were prefabricated in the USA and then transported to the site.

8. SkyPark Rooftop

The rooftop of Marina Bay Sands has several amazing features. The pool sides of the infinity pool have a garden with palm trees which provides shade from the sun. There are hundreds of tree plants.

The place also has rooftop bars and restaurants such as Lavo and CeLaVi. There is an Observation Decker open to non-hotel guests for viewing at a cost.

9. Useful Information Before Using the Pool

The infinity pool is located at the 57th-floor SkyPark building. It’s open from 6 am to 11 pm every day. To access it one must be a guest in the hotel and must present their room key to proceed.

There is neither a changing room nor lockers in the pool area, people are encouraged to change in their room. The good thing is towels are offered free of charge in the pool area. Toilets are located on the lower floor which is easily accessible from the pool area.

With your room key, you can eat, drink and buy things at the shop such as swimming wear and other accessories.

10. Why the Name Infinity Pool

Unlike regular pools which have all walls being higher than the water level, the infinity pool has one or more sides of its walls being the same level as the water. It creates waterfalls sloping downwards from the edges.

The walls have an impression of the pool merging with the surrounding landscape or having an endless edge illusion.
