1. Alice Braga was Born in a Famous Family

Alice was born on April 15, 1983, in Sao Paulo and raised in a catholic family. Braga speaks fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Most of her fans don鈥檛 know Braga’s mother; Ana Braga was a successful Brazilian actress. Her aunt Sonia Braga was also an actress.

Braga used to accompany her mum and aunt to film sets. Braga’s acting career started while she was still in school. She used to appear in school plays and commercials.

Braga appeared in her acting debut in the Portuguese-language short film Trampolim in 1998and returned to school. Later her breakthrough came when she was cast as Angelica in the critically acclaimed crime film the City of God in 2002.

She received a Best Supporting Actress nomination from the Cinema Brazil Grand Prize for the City of God. Later, she joined University while appearing in a pair of well-regarded South American films: Lower City in 2005 and Only God Knows in 2006.

In 2014 she stared in the Brazilian jungle film The Ardor as Vania, as Olivia in the Argentine romance drama Latitudes and Alice Taylor in Kriv Stender鈥檚 action thriller Kill Me Three Times.

In 2016, she appeared as Marisol Kingston in the western drama The Duel. In 2017 she started as Sophia in the Christian drama The Shack, based on the Novel of the same name.
