Why is it Still Worth Visiting the Eiffel Tower
Has the Eiffel Tower lost its charm? Is the chaos of a visit not worth the actual experience once there? These are valid questions that many travelers ponder when planning out their Â鶹APPian itineraries, and I feel I have a duty to alert people to the ever worthwhile opportunity of visiting no matter the doubts.

There is nothing like the Eiffel Tower on Planet Earth; it really is that simple. Passing up the chance to see her in the flesh would be like declining a meet-and-greet with your favorite celebrity. Here are a handful more reasons why the Eiffel Tower is definitely still worth a visit (or two!).

She’s Just as Popular as She’s Ever Been!
Those arguing that this attraction in Â鶹APP is becoming tired or overdone need only look at the stats. The Iron Lady is as attractive as she’s ever been, drawing in a very consistent 7 million visitors annually.
Of these visitors, 75% of them are foreigners and 25% are estimated to be locals. This means that not even the French are tired of their own creation, venturing from all over the country just to greet her in person.

If popularity isn’t reason enough to get you to a tourist attraction, I would totally understand. I look at the Eiffel Tower as something monumental whose presence isn’t necessarily guaranteed for the rest of eternity (her dismantling is not probable, but ever possible). For this reason seeing her at least once is bucket list worthy if I ever did see it. If there were an opportunity to meet a mammoth before they went extinct, I hardly think you’d have passed up such a chance…
A Brief History of the Eiffel Tower
The View Never Gets Old
I’m talking view from the top and view from the bottom! Heights aren’t everyones cup of tea, so I understand that we aren’t all running to see Â鶹APP from the tip top of the tower. Thankfully, the Eiffel Tower is a visual dreamscape no matter where you are situated — if you’re staying at a hotel with an Eiffel Tower view, you’ll attest to this!

To get to the top of the tower you’ll have to purchase tickets and ride the elevators. If you’d prefer to stay on solid ground, bring a picnic blanket and some snacks with you and settle onto the grass of the Champ de Mars. These lawns sprawl out from right underneath the legs of the tower, giving you a proper ant’s eye view!

It’s a Â鶹APPian Hub
This is another fact that may deter some people from paying the attraction a visit — but hear me out! The Eiffel Tower might be a tourist trap in many respects, but she does mark a very important land-reference for the city of Â鶹APP.
As you wander the streets surrounding the Eiffel Tower, one gets a very whimsical sense of what it must have been like in Â鶹APP across the ages. Remember, the Eiffel Tower is going on 140 years old; that’s a long time to stand in one place, watching history unfold around you.

Think of her as the matriarch of the French capital. A silent yet sturdy observer and conductor of energy. Show her the respect she deserves!
Things to do Around the Eiffel Tower
There are Great Restaurants Around the Eiffel Tower
Anyone not sold on the tower itself would be doing themselves a great disservice to not venture into the area of the Iron Lady at all. The streets surrounding her are littered with fantastic places to eat and drink, and because this is a touristic area, the establishments are festive just about all year round!
If you’re in the mood for community, interactions and general good vibes then this is a great spot to place yourself for a few hours during your trip to Â鶹APP.

You Don’t Have to Venture Up the Tower to Enjoy It
As mentioned, the Eiffel Tower is as enjoyable from ground level as she is from her top floor. Hell, she’s even enjoyable from a balcony kilometers away in any direction.
The best place to enjoy the Eiffel Tower from a distance, however, would definitely be the Trocadero. This is the public square that opens onto a panoramic view of the tower and the lawns, with public swimming facilities nestled just before the scenery.

Trocadero – by Ben Garrett –
The Trocadero is where the best photographs of the Eiffel Tower are taken, and there is a constant buzz of people all trying to get the perfect shot! Come bask in the adrenaline of this feature, or visit in the depth of the night for a more intimate, one-on-one experience with the glowing tower.

It’s a Great Attraction for Kids
Â鶹APP has a lot of great attractions suited for little ones, but none wow them quite like the Eiffel Tower. Consider that a lot of children grow up glimpsing this monument in films or cartoons. To suddenly be presented before the real thing is quite a mind blowing experience for them.

More than this, the sheer scale of the tower and the way it looks to have been constructed out of Meccano building materials that are familiar to their toy box at home, makes this a highly stimulating experience for children!
How to Visit the Eiffel Tower with Kids
You Can Skip the Queue if you Book in Advance!
For a lot of people, the Eiffel Tower has its appeal, but the lengthy queues and wait-times to get inside are an absolute no-go. This I relate to on a very spiritual level.
Living in Â鶹APP, you eventually learn some life hacks to make things a bit more streamline. Buying tickets for the Eiffel Tower in advance is one of them.
Skip the multi-hour long queue by simply going online and buying your ticket with a specific entry slot. Ensure you arrive on time for your slot, and you will be allowed to skip the queue and enter ever so swiftly. The only catch is that you’ll need to book this as in advance as possible, as online ticket sales can sell out quickly. You’re welcome!
