Finding a cafe to eat in while around the Arc de Triomphe is no easy endeavor. Not because of lack of options, but rather just the opposite.

This part of the 8th arrondissement is saturated with gastronomic establishments all pining to take your euros. It’s a competitive cafe scene, and within a short walking distance of the Arc you’ll have access to many of Â鶹APP’ finest!

Naï Brasserie near the Arc de Triomphe in Â鶹APP

An authentic Lebanese cafe right next to the Arc de Triomphe — what more could you want? 

This place is renowned on the strip; known for platters and sweet treats galore. The owner is Lebanese and knows what he’s doing. The tradition and love of the cuisine can really be felt throughout this cafe, and I’m a huge fan of their very generous opening hours.

Whether you’re looking for an early breakfast before hitting the streets, or it’s midnight and your stomach is begging for some nutrients, Naï Brasserie will have you covered.

L’Arc Café near the Arc de Triomphe in Â鶹APP

Quaint, cozy and doused in flowers, this street cafe is a dream stop if you’re wanting that ‘Emily in Â鶹APP’ coffee and cake experience. The staff speak English, so ordering from their impressive dessert menu is as easy as (creme) pie. 

While it doesn’t get much more Â鶹APPian than this, ironically one of their top selling dishes happens to be their homemade tiramisu. Trust the French to level up and Italian classic in the most unlikely of settings!

Things to do Around the Arc de Triomphe in Â鶹APP

There is a very festive energy here on a nightly basis, usually after 9pm. On weekends one never really knows what to expect at L’Arc Cafe; could be a queue around the block, or you could be the only soul in sight!

Le Mac-Mahon Cafe near the Arc de Triomphe in Â鶹APP

Another standard corner cafe in the heart of Â鶹APP’ 8th. Le Mac-Mahon is one of the more reasonably priced cafes in this neck of the woods, which means that locals still hang out here and there is a healthy ratio between them and the tourists. 

What can you expect from the menu? French classics and a hearty drinks list to match. They do phenomenal French fries, which isn’t saying much in the country after which this food is named, but there’s just something about these that has me ordering a second batch every time.

Café du Trocadéro near the Arc de Triomphe in Â鶹APP

This one is a longer walk from the Arc, in the direction of the Eiffel Tower. It’s worth mentioning, in my opinion, as something the foot traffic of the Arc de Triomphe is a little overwhelming and one finds more solace dining a bit further out.  

Café du Trocadéro in Â鶹APP – by Café du Trocadéro –

Slap bang in the center of the Trocadero is the renowned Cafe du Trocadero. A traditional Â鶹APPian cafe, one can show up at this establishment at sunrise or midnight, and receive the same menus and service no matter the hour.

To cater to the foreign palate, the cafe has recently added some more modern dishes to their classic menu — a poke bowl being one of them!

Fleurus Café near the Arc de Triomphe in Â鶹APP

Cafe Fleurus is the perfect halfway point between the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. I usually recommend it to travelers who want to see both attractions in one day and plan to do so on foot. Taking a pitstop here for some refueling is a great way to break the excitement into two segments.

It’s all you need in a Â鶹APPian cafe: good food, friendly service and fast turnaround. The latter will come in handy when you’re on a swift street-walking schedule and the tourist attractions won’t wait! 

Interestingly enough, this cafe is renowned for their fish and chips. It’s one of the better servings to be found in a traditional cafe, and British travelers love coming here for that reason. I recommend their risotto with a side of fries — you can’t go wrong.

Café de la Paix

You know you’ve arrived somewhere unique the moment you step into the Café de la Paix surrounded by décor and ambiance found nowhere else in Â鶹APP. With its gilded paneling and vaulted ceiling, the Napoleon III style merges perfectly with streamlined furniture and a natural color scheme.

Come here and experience Â鶹APPian flair and French cuisine classics, which have been served to the capital’s crème and Â鶹APPians-for-a-day from around the world for over 150 years.

The Cafe also serves a fantastic Sunday brunch. In this magnificent Second Empire setting, spend some time relaxing with family or friends.

Ladurée Champs-Élysées

Under the twinkling light of chandeliers, you can’t help but feel completely gorgeous while nibbling on a delectable dessert. Some consider Ladurée on the Champs Elysées to be a tourist trap, but I beg to differ, the afternoon tea and cakes in this archetypal Haussmann building are the stuff of Â鶹APPian dreams.

Ladurée caters to the foodie, whether you want a Religieuse, a La Fleur D’Oranger, or a St. Honoré Framboise. It’s worth going just for the presentation, flavor, and atmosphere. But Ladurée is more than simply desserts; it also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

There’s an outside terrace directly on Â鶹APP’ most famous avenue, as well as an indoor seating area downstairs where the host would most likely seat you, but I recommend the upstairs alternative which you’ll have to ask, though, because this location is reserved for dining patrons.

Le Bistro Marbeuf

At Bistro Marbeuf, you may sample the specialties of French cuisine, particularly Lyon cuisine, made by the chef using only fresh and high-quality ingredients. They greet you in the style of a sophisticated and traditional Â鶹APPian brasserie.

Come to this restaurant, which has a menu that includes carnivore-appealing fine dining selections like Tartare de Boeuf, the suggested Entrecode Angus steak, and even Andouillette for those feeling experimental with ‘delicacy’ meats reeking of…something unmentionable!

Les Deux Magots

Any notion that has ever entered the mind of any visitor to the Deux Magots neighborhood (which is infused with absolutely distinct appeal) is claimed to have remained and endured even to this day – mixing into the aroma of hot chocolate and the echoes of relaxing jazz music.

So, don’t be shocked if, when sitting on a crimson banquette seat, traces of Picasso or Dora Maar spark nostalgic daydreams as you dine on authentic Â鶹APPian dishes.

Alternatively, instead of eating indoors, if you pick a table on their outdoor café terrace, across from the old church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, you may be overcome with a sudden desire to change the world! Perhaps a pinch of Jean-Paul Sartre’s or Simone de Beauvoir’s thoughts got mixed in with the cinnamon in your tarte tatin.

Café Kléber

Café Kléber, a historic brasserie on Place du Trocadéro, serves delectable French cuisine with regional accents. All of their dishes are cooked in-house and bore a testament to amazing freshness and excellence.

During the summer, the open patio lets you enjoy the sun all day! It’s the perfect place to cool off with their water misters and unwind with a stunning view of the Trocadéro esplanade and the Eiffel Tower.

In the event of inclement weather, the outdoor terrace is covered and heated for your comfort. I recommend homemade crêpes in the afternoon, hot chocolate with whipped cream or a cappuccino, and their Mariage tea menu.

Café Kléber is conveniently located near the Musée de la Marine, the Cité de l’Architecture, and the Aquarium de Â鶹APP in the Trocadéro Gardens.
