She was born on 19 November 1977 in Multan Punjab into a Jat family. Hina is a daughter of a powerful oligarch and politician Ghulam Noor Rabbani Khar.
Her father was a prominent national politician and he served as a member of the National assembly. She is a Pakistani politician who is serving as a minister of state for foreign affairs of Pakistan since 19th April 2022.
She is a graduate of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) where she attained a BSc (with honours) in Economics granted in 1999. Thereafter, she studied at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she earned an MSc in Business Management back in 2002.
Hina Rabbani Khar is married to Feroze Gulzar. They have a son, Ahmed, and two daughters, Annaya and Dina.

1. Hina was Born and Raised in a Prominent Family
Hina Rabbani was born in Multan, Punjab Pakistan. Her family was a Jat family. She is the daughter of the powerful oligarch and politician Ghulam Noor Rabbani Khar.
Her father was regarded as a prominent national politician. He served as a member of the National Assembly.
Additionally, Hina’s uncle, Ghulam Mustafa Khar, is the former Governor and chief minister of Punjab. Hina is married to Feroz Gulzar.
2. Hina Rabbani Joined Politics at Young Age
She joined politics in 2002 when she stepped into politics at the young age of 24, her beginning was made necessary due to circumstances. In 2002, her landowner father could not contest elections because the new law required all candidates to hold university degrees. He didn’t have one, but his daughter Hina Rabbani Khar did and she was elected as the MP from Muzaffarnagar II.
By 2005, she was already a junior minister. In 2008 she was appointed minister of state for finance and economic affairs in the cabinet of Yousaf Raza Gilani
3. The First Woman Politician to Present the Pakistan Budget In the National Assembly
Hina Rabbani Khar presented the 2010 federal budget in the Parliament of Pakistan. After her 2008 re-election, she was appointed as the Minister of State for Finance and Economic Affairs in the cabinet of Yousaf Raza Gillani.
She worked on the financial budget and economic policy. The first-ever minister of Finance was absent and on 13 June 2009, she successfully presented the 2010 federal budget in Parliament. Hina gained the distinction of being the first woman politician to present the Pakistani budget in the National Assembly.
4. She was the First Female Minister of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan
Hina Rabbani Khar 34 years old, who formerly performed as deputy foreign minister, was also the youngest person ever to be named Islamabad’s main politician.
She was sworn in by the acting President Farooq Naik. This was where Pakistan appoints its first-ever female foreign minister.
In becoming a foreign ambassador Hina Khar fills a post that had been desolate for five months. Retired Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was plunged into a cabinet reshuffle in February.
5. Hina Rabbani Clenched Various Honours from Different Institutions
She graduated from the Lahore University of Management Sciences where she clenched a BSc (with honours) in economics conferred in 1999.
She thereafter studied at Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts where she earned a Msc in business management in 2002 .
Later, She joined politics at the age of 24, years. She has maintained connections with Lahore university of management since her graduation in 2021.

During her term as a foreign minister, she played a crucial role in Pakistan. She was best remembered in this role for the Regional pivot to Pakistan’s foreign policy.
She focused on building ties with Pakistani’s immediate neighbours. This included the normalization of trade relations with India and a policy of reaching out to all political parties and ethnicities in Afghanistan. she led Pakistan’s bilateral and multilateral economic diplomacy
7. She Accused the US Government of Supporting Military Regimes in Pakistan

Hina has remained an active speaker during her post-ministerial career. She has been an active public orator, in an interview with Al-Jazeera in December 2015. Khar accused the Us government of supporting military regimes authorities in Pakistan
She has written op-eds for news week Pakistan and was quizzed by Mehdi, Hasan at the Oxford Union in Dec 2015. In June 2016 she appeared on Jirga with Saleem Safi, speaking out against Pakistan’s hostile attitude in the Kashmir confrontation.
8. She was Appointed to the Frigid Seat for Women in the National Assembly
She was appointed to a frigid seat for women in the National Assembly in the 2018 General Election. The appointment was by the Pakistani people’s party.
On 19th April 2022, she was enlisted in the Shehbaz ministry. She held the post of minister of state for foreign affairs.

Hina Rabbani is the Co-Owner of the Polo Lounge restaurant. An outdoor restaurant with spectacular views of the Margalla Hills in Islamabad’s upmarket Saidpur village.
This is the second in a chain of restaurants that are owned by her. She has a degree in hospitality management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
The restaurant has the aristocratic stamp of Hina. Polo Lounge is one of the many businesses which responded to an advertisement pit out by Islamabad’s civic body.
The civic body was the capital Development Authority in May 2008. This advertisement was inviting investors to set up businesses in the remodeled Saidpur village.
