Hasnat Ahmad Khan is a British-Pakistan heart and lung surgeon. He was born on 1st April 1958.
He was born in Jhelum a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan in a Mohmand Pashtun family.
Khan is so n to Rashid Khan, a London School of Economics graduate. Being a brilliant academic student, Khan completed his studies at the Imperial College of Medicine after which his career began.

1. He was in a relationship with Princess Diana
The heart surgeon Hasnat, had a discreet two-year fling with Princess Diana. Hasnat Khan was nicknamed “Natty” and branded ” Mr wonderful” by the Princess, and wore a t-shirt, sandals, and tracksuit bottoms to carry out the chore.
During their fling, which ended in the summer of 1997, Diana is considered to have a great affection for the surgeon.
The princess met the surgeon’s family and even considered converting to Islam.
They had met at the Royal Brompton Hospital when Diana had visited a friend recovering from a heart operation.
2. He worked as a consultant for a cardiothoracic surgeon
He was blessed in the field of medicine. He had previously worked at Royal Brompton as a heart surgeon and he proceeded in 2013, at the age of 55 to work as a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Khan worked as a consultant for a cardiothoracic surgeon at Basildon University Hospital in England.
He also worked at the London Chest Hospital (a hospital specializing in cardiac and pulmonary disease).
3. Hasnat Khan got married at 48

His relationship status was not impressive despite having an impressive career. In May 2006, Hasnat and Hadia’s relationship came to an abrupt end. This was after Khan and Ali filed for divorce in the local arbitration council of Islamabad.
4. He had a unique character that Princess Diana admired
Hasnat’s career was remarkably impressive. He was not the typical “guy next door” that many would expect from one of the World’s most famous women to go for.
According to Diana, Hasnat was an unlikely partner for his lack of wealth and attractive qualities.
The close friends stated Diana probably saw a man who was completely selfless and stated that the late princess never met anybody like him.
5. Khan works as a humanitarian in Saudi Arabia
Hasnat Khan, who is now over 60 years old, contributes to humanitarian work in Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and Pakistan.
It was revealed since his move to the Arabic countries, he was engaged to a young Muslim woman after his romance with the late Princess, he enjoys a private life and stays away from too much publicity.
6. Hasnat Khan is a distant cousin of Imran Khan

8. Hasnat Khan and Princess Diana’s love affair started in secrecy
They never wanted to expose so much their relationship status to the public. They hung out together but in a secret way.
Diana used to call Khans hospital and she would leave a message for him using the nickname “Dr. Armani”.
Furthermore, Diana would disguise herself with a black wig and dark sunglasses whenever they went out.
9. Hasnat Khan and Diana met at the workplace

Their first meet-up was at London’s Royal Brompton Hospital. Princess Diana had gone to visit a friend’s husband who was recovering from heart surgery.
This was the first time Khan and Dian got to see each other. Khan was helping with a ripe-bypass surgery.
Their talks began there and Diana would return to the hospital nearly every day to see Khan. The often and random visits brought about their relationship until it was known in public.

He continued his medical career at Basildon University Hospital in Essex, as a cardiothoracic surgeon on a consulting basis. He took a half-year-long unpaid sabbatical from the hospital.
His short-term future plans as a physician included free health services for the poor at Abdul Razzaq Welfare Trust Hospital in the Pakistan Village of Badut near Jhelum.
Hasnat Khan will be remembered for his contribution to the health sector. He has managed to carry out very critical surgery hence saving a lot of lives.
He will remain a role model to the young people who would wish to achieve in life as he did. Hard work and discipline are hands in hand to achieve much like becoming a surgeon.
