Burna Boy, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu on July 2, 1991, is a Nigerian rapper. The Nigerian artist grew up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Samuel Ogulu founded a welding company, and his mother, Bose Ogulu, worked as a mediator.

Bose Ogulu, Burna Boy’s mother, is his current manager. Benson Idonije, Burna Boy’s grandfather, used to manage Fela Anklápó Kuti, the famed African music legend. The singer grew up in Nigeria’s southern region. To create his beat music, he mainly used Fruity Loops, an audio workstation.
