Three-Michelin-Starred Spanish Chef Dani GarcÃa Brings Italian Flair to Budapest
For those who love Italian dishes, there’s something exciting in store. has recently reported that, Dani GarcÃa, a chef famous for his creative cooking, has opened a new Italian restaurant called Alelà in the heart of Budapest. Despite being a Spanish chef, Dani is applying his global culinary expertise to create vibrant and Italian dishes.
Alelà stands out as it blends global culinary influences with the classic tastes of Spain, showcasing GarcÃa’s signature style. GarcÃa has changed the way people think about food. He started in the southern part of Spain, Andalusia, where he learned to love the local food and how to cook it.
He’s widely celebrated for his superb culinary skills, which have earned him the prestigious Michelin stars. But then he decided to do something different. He closed his restaurant to start a new project, making tasty Spanish food that’s easy for everyone to enjoy, not just fancy diners.
Alelà is located in the upscale Dorothea Hotel, near the well-known Vörösmarty Square in Budapest. Alelà is named after a bloom, and this floral inspiration is reflected in the restaurant’s elegant decor. The menu, influenced by GarcÃa’s signature recipes, presents a variety of dishes that transport you to Italy’s distinct regions.
The idea behind Alelà is to use local ingredients but cook them in a way that’s enjoyed all over the world. They use special Italian ingredients like Prosciutto di Parma and Bolognese cheese, but also fresh food from Hungary. They’ve even made a new version of a traditional Hungarian dish, and they serve a special pizza with Hungarian ham.
The restaurant is also planning to open another place called BiBo in the same hotel next year, which will mix up Spanish bar food with a casual dining style. The main chef at AlelÃ, Giorgio Cavicchiolo, has made it his business to treat everyone who comes to eat like they’re part of the family.
Grupo Dani GarcÃa, the company that GarcÃa started, is planning to open another restaurant in Budapest in 2024. It will be called BiBo and will be a place where you can enjoy Andalusian-style food and tapas.
GarcÃa has been recognized for his work with more awards, including two Michelin stars for his restaurant Smoked Room in Madrid. He has been honored as Andalusia’s most distinguished native and received recognition for creating the top menu designs at his Marbella and Madrid eateries.
So, Budapest is getting some cool new places to eat, thanks to Dani GarcÃa. He’s mixing up local Hungarian ingredients with his international cooking skills to create something really special.
