The Night Agent as the No. 1 on Netflix, 鈥榳ho was the mole?鈥�

Is Night Agent the most-watched series on Netflix since Wednesday? The Night Agent is a new American action thriller series that has got the attention of everyone; I finished it in 24 hours, it鈥檚 that good. The creator, Shawn Ryan based the series on the novel written by Matthew Quirk titled The Night Agent with a bit of his flare. It is directed by Seth Gordon who directed famous shows like The Office, and Parks and Creation, some of my favorite shows.

The series premiered on Netflix on March 23, 2023 and since then the number of streaming viewers has been rapidly increasing. The cast members include Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Hong Chau, Eve Harlow, Fola EvansAkingbola, Sarah Desjardins, D. Woodside and Phoenix Raei. According to Forbes, the series has the third biggest debut week in reference to the viewing hours just behind Netflix鈥檚 Wednesday and Dahmer. 

It has kicked out Wednesday as the most-watched series on Netflix in the United States and many other regions. The show Stars Gabriel Basso in the title role of Peter Sutherland, a handsome and hard-working government agent whose focal mission is to find a mole within United States national security. He is very concerned about the potential threats of this mole and other related threats and he is working through the challenges after his father was accused of betraying the U. S. he also works for a separate secret agency. The Night Agent, his code name, is asked with the role of monitoring a phone that’s only going to ring there in case of emergency so when the phone rings, and Peter picks it up.

And of course the series has a fair share of romance between Gabriel Basso who plays Peter Sutherland and Luciane Buchanan as Rose Larkin. Their relationship was not just sexual but a slow burn I just wish there were more scenes and tension between them. According to tom鈥檚 guide, Night Agent kicked Waco out of the top spot and has officially fended off Love is Blind season 4.  In addition, according to FlixPatrol reports, the series occupies the number 1 spot of the top shows on Netflix.

It鈥檚 true that the show is just an attempt at a genre that keeps getting recycled but it is very entertaining filled with awesome action scenes and the cast members bring the characters to life. It starts off as clich茅 government fa莽ade series but it sneaks up on you and has you at the edge of your seat as you progress giving an old school suspense.

The final episode has a massive cliffhanger leaving the audience thirsty for more. The mole was finally disclosed as not just one single person, no one in the White House can be trusted, but the most shocking reveal that was shocking to Peter ends up being Diane Farr, the president鈥檚 chief of staff peter鈥檚 close ally. Peter gets into a jet with an envelope that contains his next 鈥渋mpossible鈥� mission. They definitely left It open ended enough to make a season 2.
