Nina Momeni Arrested as Suspect In Bob Lee鈥檚 Murder

On 13th April, A tech consultant was arrested by the San Francisco police department. After the arrest, it was disclosed that the subject was Nima Momeni, 38. Nima was then charged with the murder of Cash App founder and tech mogul Bob Lee.

Bob Lee Was stabbed to death and murdered on Tuesday 4th April in downtown San Francisco. After the arrest, San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott disclosed that Nina Momeni and Lee knew each other. According to Yahoo Finance, Chief Bill decline to elaborate on how the pair knew each other or their relationship.

The news of Lee鈥檚 death shocked the tech industry with much of the resulting outrage being directed toward San Francisco鈥檚 rampant crime statistics. The investigation was to be carried out by San Francisco鈥檚 homicide department on Thursday morning which took Momeni into custody.

In the press conference, Chief Scott also declined to provide information on how Momeni came to be linked with the death of Bob Lee. There was also no info provided on the problem murder weapon or the possible motive Momeni would have to commit the murder.

Momeni has been charged with murder in connection with Lee’s death, according to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. Jenkins also said she is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday the prosecution would petition the judge to deny bail.

So, Who Is Nina Momeni and What鈥檚 His Relationship To Bob Lee?

As Yahoo Finance discloses, Momeni describes himself as an 鈥淚T Consultant/Entrepreneur鈥� as well as the owner of a company called Expand IT as per his LinkedIn profile. Expand IT Inc. is an information technology (IT) consulting business. Momeni is listed as the chief executive officer, secretary, and chief financial officer of the company according to its business filings with the state.

Momeni鈥檚 arrest on Thursday morning was not his first offense as his records show. In 2011 he was charged with misdemeanor offenses of carrying a switchblade and also driving without a valid license. However, the case involving the switchblade was later dismissed. With the driving case on the other hand, he took a plea and did not contest.

While there are no details as of yet about the relationship between Lee and Momeni, the pair was spotted driving together through downtown San Francisco merely hours before Lee鈥檚 murder. According to information collected by the San Francisco PD, Lee allegedly died after the two had an argument.

The arrest of Momeni points toward the conclusion that the police do not think Lee鈥檚 murder was a random attack or a robbery attempt!
