Guitars have always been a beloved instrument, charming audiences across the globe with their soulful melodies and intricate harmonies. And this year, the Soam As Guitarras festival is back with its 8th edition, promising to be bigger and better than ever before!
The 8th edition of Soam As Guitarras (Guitars Sound) will run from 4th April to 18th May 2024. The project, which is an initiative by Oeiras City Council, brings intimate concerts to several venues, allowing artists to engage with their audience.
Oeiras is a municipality in the western part of Lisbon metropolitan area. As the project name suggests, the guitar features as an instrument in its diverse formats, accompanying the songs and stories shared.
Numerous local and regional artists feature in these intimate concerts, sharing unique moments with their audience. With diverse dates and venues allocated for the festival, lovers of the guitar and music in general can attend as many concerts as possible.
Some of the featured artists in this edition include Tim, one of the most notable names in Portuguese music scene. The Xutos & Pontap茅s lead singer will invite leading guitar reference in Portugal, Pedro J贸ia to perform at the Audit贸rio Municipal Eunice Mu帽oz. Others include Jo茫o Alves, Jos茅 Soares and Tiago Nogueira.
