Prague’s beloved Kampa Island is set to become a slice of France this July. The annual French Market, an eagerly awaited event by locals and tourists alike, will be held from July 11th to 14th, 2024. French culture, cuisine, and craftsmanship are celebrated in this four-day festival. The event’s return to its traditional location on Kampa. For city officials  it is seen  as a boost for local tourism and cultural exchange.

A Feast for the Senses

Visitors to the French Market will be treated to a sensory overload of Gallic delights. Stalls will be laden with an array of French cheeses, charcuterie, and pâtés. From various French regions, wine enthusiasts can sample vintages wines. For those with a sweet tooth, French crêpes and artisanal ice creams will be on offer.

Jana Novotna, a local restaurant owner, expressed her enthusiasm: “This market brings a taste of France to our doorstep. It’s a wonderful opportunity for Prague residents to experience authentic French products without leaving the city.”
