Prague’s Municipal District 4 is set to host a lively “Farewell to Summer” event on 31st August , 2024, marking the end of the holiday season. This free family-friendly celebration will take place in Central Park Pankrac. A joyful conclusion to the summer break for both children and adults is the only aim.

The event is Prague’s efforts to foster community spirit and offer entertainment for residents and visitors alike. “We want to give families one last hurrah before the school year begins,” said  a spokesperson for Municipal District 4.

From 2 pm to 6 pm, attendees can enjoy a diverse range of activities. The popular girls’ music group Lollipopz will headline the entertainment, promising a high-energy performance for young fans. Children’s theatre productions and sports games are also scheduled throughout the afternoon.

An array of attractions will be available, including face painting, temporary tattoos, and a unique opportunity for budding artists to try spray painting on a designated wall. Inflatable play structures will be set up to keep younger children engaged.

Local resident Petr Svoboda expressed enthusiasm for the event. “It’s wonderful to have such activities in our neighbourhood. It brings the community together,” he remarked.
