Charli XCX, the pop star who has dominated charts with hits like “Boys” and “Boom Clap,” recently offered a glimpse into her literary side in her She revealed a favorite London haunt – Artwords Bookshop on bustling Broadway Market as her go-to spot for nice reads.

Artwords specializes in contemporary visual arts and visual culture, offering a curated selection that extends far beyond mainstream bestsellers. Their shelves overflow with thought-provoking works, including books on fashion, graphic design, photography, fine art, and critical theory texts, among others.

While not a self-described “voracious reader,” Charli XCX acknowledges enjoying periods of dedicated literary exploration. In the Billboard interview, she shared a brief insight into her reading habits.

“I wouldn’t say I read loads, but I definitely go through phases where I get really into a book,” she confessed. She also shared that she is not a big fan of fiction, and that she loves reading about ‘people who exist in the real world, their stories and how they ended up where they are.’
