A shoot-out that happened on Saturday night in Long Beach, California left at least seven people injured. A statement by the Long Beach Police Department revealed that they responded to a shooting in the area of Paramount Boulevard and South Street but they did not share what happened to lead up to the shooting.  

鈥淎pproximately seven victims have been reported at this time and all of the victims either self-transported or were transported by LFBD, to local hospitals鈥�. They further revealed that four of the victims of the shootout were in critical condition while the other three had non-threatening injuries.

According to the Police, two males opened fire at a crowd of people. The motive of the shooting is still unknown and no arrests have been made but the police believe that it was gang-related. While addressing the press, Chief Wally Hebeish said, “This police department is dedicated and focused on arresting any violent offender utilizing dangerous firearms to victimize our community. The Long Beach Police Department has been actively investigating this shooting since late last night, and we will continue working until we identify and arrest those involved in this unacceptable act of gun violence.”
