The 17th edition of the Italian Film Festival will run from 12th April to 21st 2024 in over 15 Portugal cities. The festival has become a major event in Portugal dedicated to Italian cinema since its debut in 2008. In Lisbon, the highly anticipated event will take place at the Cinema Sao Jorge.
Organized by the II Sorpasso Asssociation for sixteen years now, the festival features quality Italian film productions in the evolving industry. This year鈥檚 edition will open with a national premiere of the film 鈥�We Still Have Tomorrow鈥�. The largely successful film is directed by Paola Cortellesi, with a central theme of the role of women in democracy.
The festival will feature several guests as well. One of them is actress Jasmine Trinca, who will be in attendance for the film 鈥楲a nouvelle femme鈥� by Lea Todorov. Jasmine won the jury prize at the Italian Film Festival in 2023 with the film 鈥楳arcell鈥�.
Also to look out for is the documentary 鈥楳ilan-The Inside Story of Italian Fashion鈥� by John Maggio. It features notable actresses such as Helen Mirren, Frances Mc Dormand and fashion designers Giorgio Armani and Tom Ford. The conclusive film line up for festival can be accessed on the official .
