Jenna Ortega鈥檚 Mom Smoking Clap back!

In reality, whether you鈥檙e a celebrity or not, family dynamics are the most hard to escape. For celebrities, situations can change unexpectedly especially when social media is involved. Recently, actress, Jenna Ortega was exposed on the internet while she was smoking cigarette and drinking with her friend, Gideon Adlon, also an actress.

Following the spread of the viral video showing the Wednesday star smoking, it was a matter of time before her mother, Natalie Ortega saw the video and had a say. Indeed, she had a lot to say, after all, mothers know best. Even though she didn鈥檛 hold up a microphone and say her piece, she used her story to post articles about smoking to deliver a remarkable clap back.

The disputed video was posted to Twitter on May 24 and depicts Ortega conversing with a friend outside while smoking what appears to be a cigarette. So what did the mother say? In response, Ortega’s mother shared a meme on her Instagram story along with a whopping 12 other images, making social media fans roar with laughter.

Ortega’s mother’s 12 posts include a Toan Lam quotation, which reads, “no matter who you are and how big you get, always surround yourself with people who will tell you the truth,” and lastly captioning , 鈥淎 mother is always a mother. She never stops worrying about her children, even when they are all grown up and have children of their own.鈥�

This reaction does not really come to a shock considering how Ortega鈥檚 mother has always portrayed herself as a present mother. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the 20 year old related how her mother would always find time and take her to auditions all the way in Los Angeles even though she was a working fulltime E.R nurse.

Even after they are all grown up and have children of their own, she never stops worrying about them. It鈥檚 one of the most motherly answers ever; social media users love the passive aggression and the exposure of some grim realities.

Fans commented on twitter saying, 鈥淭his is the most mom thing ever hahaha.” Another stated,”I don’t think this means she didn’t say anything to Jenna, I think this is just classic passive aggressive mum stuff in addition to that.”

“This is HILARIOUS because I can see my mom doing this exact thing. In addition to publicly posting this she’d also send me 20 pages long text messages about how bad smoking is. Lol,” another added.

In a society where social media has evolved into a tool for immediate communication and self-expression, it’s not unusual for family issues to manifest themselves online. Even though her mother did not attack the Wednesday star directly says a lot about what her mother thinks about the whole idea of smoking.
