Its official, Jenna Ortega and The Weeknd have finished filming a movie together. The dynamic duo have caused a buzz and left curious fans thirsty for details about the project and what exactly Ortega’s role will be in the film, who isn’t?

It was only yesterday when the announcement of the collaboration was done and now the filming process is done.  The filming took place in Los Angeles and it has officially come to an end but fans want to know the movie’s plot, all the co actors and the crew involved.

First of all it is evident that this partnership means a lot for Ortega’s career and equally cements her future in Hollywood. It goes without saying that The Weeknd is an amazing performer and musician. He is more than credible to take on the role as writer and producer among other directors and producers such as the Waves writer-director Trey Edward Shults.

This won’t be the first movie for the Grammy winner musician, The Weeknd. He has experienced acting having acted alongside Adam Sandler and Julia Fox in the 2019 movie Uncut Gems. He also co-created and appeared in The Simpsons and American Dad, he simply knows what he is doing.

In addition, he is part of the HBO series The Idol, alongside Lily-Rose Depp as a self-help guru and cult leader who develops a connection with a pop idol and producer. Although this new project with Ortega is currently nameless and cloaked in secrecy regarding its plot and genre, it is creating a buzz across the internet.

Ortega’s exposure within the industry might change as a result of this collaboration with The Weeknd but it will certainly be positive considering the perception the public has over the musician.

He also won the won a Bafta for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, hence, this team is clearly well equipped to execute any genre be it for a comedy, tragedy, action adventure, or musical.  With Oneohtrix Point Never, an American music producer, who previously collaborated with The Weeknd on his Dawn FM album, he will provide the soundtrack for the film.
