PSG Responds to Messi Grovelling Apology

Lionel Messi has been ruled out of Â鶹APP Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 match against Troyes this weekend, despite his apology for his unofficial travel to Saudi Arabia.

Messi’s Â鶹APP Saint-Germain teammates were shocked after he took an unauthorized excursion to the Middle East on Monday. The Argentine superstar is contractually required to visit the Gulf State as part of his duty as the country’s tourist ambassador, but he did not notify anyone at PSG of his trip.

Many teammates were perplexed as to why the 35-year-old was not present when they came for training on Monday. According to Mirror Football, the star is anticipated to depart PSG when his contract expires at the end of the current season. The club is no longer prioritizing his contract renewal.

The 35-year-old was aware that he would be forced to exercise alongside his club team-mates on Monday, as is standard procedure for players following a Saturday defeat. PSG were defeated 3-1 at home by Lorient in Ligue 1 over the weekend.
