The highly anticipated 9th Edition of the Millennium Estoril Open will kick off on 30th March and run till 7th April 2024. This is the biggest tennis tournament in Portugal, and the only Portuguese tournament in the ATP Tour. This year’s competition features a star-studded line-up with two top-10 players, and several sessions have already sold out!
Current World No.9 Norway’s Casper Rudd will be defending his 2023 Singles title, as World No.8 Hubert Hurkacz seeks to continue his strong 2024 start. The two will be joined by other high profile players, including US Open Champion in 2020 Gael Monfils, Alejandro Davidokich Fokina, and Lorenzo Musetti.
Even better, this year’s edition will be more iconic as fans pay tribute to Portugal’s most decorated male tennis player Jo茫o Sousa. It will be an emotional goodbye as the 2018 Millennium Estoril Open champion hangs his racquet, marking an epic close to his two decades long career.
As Estoril Tennis Club in Estoril, Cascais, prepares to receive thousands of spectators, ticket sales are still on. For fans that cannot make it for this one, the event will be broadcast on various media outlets, including Eurosport and TennisTv. Either way, this year’s tournament is sure to echo past April 7th; truly unmissable and one to look forward to.
