Istanbul, Turkey – In exciting news for frequent travellers, Turkish Airlines has teamed up with Choice Hotels International to allow members of the Choice Privileges loyalty program to convert their points into Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles miles. This new partnership, announced in mid-April, opens up a world of possibilities. Choice’s 63 million members to earn flights and upgrades with the flagship Turkish carrier.

The conversion rate allows Choice Privileges members to trade in their accumulated points for Miles&Smiles miles at a ratio of 5 points to 1 mile, with a minimum conversion of 5,000 points for 1,000 miles. Once converted, members can redeem the miles for award tickets on Turkish Airlines and partner airlines, upgrade cabins, pay for excess baggage and more.

“Our members have been asking for more airline partners, so we’re thrilled to add the prestigious Turkish Airlines to our roster of rewards,” stated Nick Bosworth, Director of Marketing for Choice Hotels in Europe. “This gives our loyalty program extra value and versatility for travellers.”

The timing could not be better, as Istanbul and Turkey as a whole remains a top-rated destination for tourists from around the world.  Now Choice rewards members have a new incentive to fly Turkish Airlines using their coveted miles.

Members can easily accumulate Choice Privileges points by booking stays across the company’s 7,000 properties worldwide, including quality brands like Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion and the upscale Ascend Hotel Collection. With this new airline partnership, their rewards will go even further.
