On marketing Ireland鈥檚 attractions to visitors, Catherine stated the importance of good storytelling and packaging it in a way that will make Ireland stand out; 鈥淚t鈥檚 finding the story and delivering it in a way that鈥檚 relatable to people,鈥� she said.

One of the best formats of storytelling according to NewsTalk is through guided tours. According to one of the longest-serving tour guides in Dublin, Lorcan Collins, 鈥淧eople want to have something authentic – something very personal,鈥� he said, what better way to learn about the history of the Emerald Isle than from a local? Collins further added that while investing in tourist attractions is important, investing in knowledgeable personnel is equally important for human interaction through storytelling.

On Dublin being a tourist magnet, Collins said, 鈥淲e have such a wide variety of attractions here – be it an old book or one of the most famous beers in the world or be it the plethora of walking tours that are all around the city. If you can鈥檛 find something to do in Dublin, there鈥檚 something wrong with you鈥�.
