As summer kicks in, travelers can appreciate less layover hustle as launches new direct flights from 1 June, 2024. These include flights between North America, Porto and Funchal.

According to a statement by the group, the new schedules will kick off on June 1, with direct flights between Toronto, Canada and Funchal. Flights between New York and Porto, and Ponta Delgada and Porto, will become operational from June 2^nd.

Other direct routes are Ponta Delgada and Milan, Italy. This will begin on June 5^th. From June 7^th, direct flights between Toronto and Porto will be available.

The airline has intimated that this move is a result of committed engagement among various stakeholders, including the airline itself, national and regional entities associated with the tourism sector, travel agents and local representatives. Its overall flight operations have also increased by 26% for the summer season compared to last year.

Graça Silva, Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication, stated that the new routes will provided ‘more for passengers who want to reach the Azores and more opportunities for those who want to travel between Europe and the United States.’
