Budapest Hungarian’s capital will soon be connected to Xian, the capital of Shaanxi Province, with a direct flight route. This exciting development was announced by Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, during a visit to Beijing on Tuesday. The addition of Xian brings the total number of major Chinese cities with direct flights from Budapest to six.

This inclusion is set to strengthens travel links between Hungary and China, offering tourists and business travelers more convenient options for exploring both cities. Currently, Budapest offers direct air travel to five other major Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Ningbo, and the upcoming addition of Guangzhou, with flights scheduled to begin in June.
