 UK’s biggest film festival is set to kick off on October 9, 2024 in London. This year’s edition will feature a neat 11 days of diverse film screenings across the capital, and in other cities across the United Kingdom. The festival will begin with Steve McQueen’s historical film “Blitz” and conclude with Morgan Neville’s LEGO-based documentary “Piece By Piece,” which explores the life of Pharrell Williams.

So, what is the BFI London Film Festival?

The BFI London Film Festival is a prestigious annual event held in London, organized by the British Film Institute (BFI). It is one of the world’s leading film festivals, showcasing a diverse range of films from around the globe.

The festival features screenings of new and upcoming films, including feature films, documentaries, short films, and animation. It also hosts industry events, talks, and workshops, providing a platform for filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts to connect and discuss the latest trends in cinema.

This one is going to be its 68^th edition, and will run from October 9 to October 20.

Where is it held?

As already stated, London Film Festival runs not only in the capital, but also across other cities in the UK. In London however, screenings are usually held in several venues including the Royal  Festival Hall,  BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX, ICA, Prince Charles Cinema, Curzon Mayfair, Curzon Soho, and Vue West End.
