Portugal has claimed three spots in the prestigious 2024 Guide. The ranking usually features the best pizzerias in the European region outside Italy.

The country’s capital, Lisbon, shone with two of the three best pizzerias; the beloved and . Forno d’Oro has garnered acclaim for its innovative and brilliantly crafted pizzas over the years, and has repeatedly featured in the list. This time, the pizzeria ranks in the 12^th position. Forno d’Oro is known for its Neopolitan pizza, with the thick crusts and light, airy dough cooked in a wood-fired oven.

  ‘This recognition gives us even more confidence to continue with this daily work, dedicated to increasingly improving our pizzas, to offer our customers a final product of excellence. From top quality Italian products to local suppliers”, said  chef Tanka Sapokta, the owner, in a statement.

Featuring in the 45^th position is a small pizzeria in the Cais do Sodre neighborhood; Lupita. This is its first appearance in the list. Ranking in the 33^rd position is pizzeria which has a number of locations in the Algarve region, Aljezur and Sagres.

Topping the list was Napoli on the Road pizzeria in London. Barcelona’s Sartoria Panatieri and Via Toledo Enopizzeria in Vienna came in second and third place respectively.
