Grant Bowler is a New Zealand-Australian actor and television presenter who has appeared in films, and television shows and plays in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

Bowler was born on 18th July 1968 in Auckland, New Zealand, but migrated to Australia as a child and grew up in Brisbane. He divorced his wife of nine years, Australian actress Roxane Wilson, with whom he has two daughters, in 2011.

1. He is known for hosting  reality game shows

He is most known as a presenter for anchoring reality game series such as The Mole Australia and The Amazing Race Australia, both of which air on the Seven Network.  He was confirmed as the presenter of Seven Network’s The Amazing Race Australia in late 2010, and he hosted the show for three seasons. He did not return to host the Network 10 reboot of the series in 2019, instead being replaced by Beau Ryan.

The Amazing Race Australia is a reality game show based in Australia on the international Amazing Race series. The show follows teams of two as they race around the world, similar to other iterations of the genre. The race is divided into legs, with teams faced with deciphering clues, navigating themselves in foreign regions, interacting with people, completing physical and mental tasks, and traveling by air, boat, automobile, taxi, and other modes of transportation.

2. He has  provided the voiceover

Bowler has provided the voiceover for Seven Network’s Border Security: Australia since 2004. He has also given the voiceover for the Canadian and American versions of the show when they air in Australia and New Zealand as Border Security: International, which is frequently broadcast on 7two.

Bowler was cast as Richard Burton opposite Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biographical TV film Liz & Dick in 2012.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film was follow one of Hollywood’s most iconic romances. When they met on the set of Cleopatra, they were both married. They divorced their respective wives and married twice.

However,  the lifetime executive vice president of programming Rob Sharenow said that they were happy that Lindsay would represent iconic Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor when the casting was announced.
