Bessarabian, Romanian, and Moldavian. Moldavia is the Anglicized name for the Russian word Moldavija; the Moldovans do not use it. Many Moldovans identify as Romanians and speak Romanian as their native tongue. Between the Prut and Dniestr rivers, Moldovans and Romani people occasionally refer to themselves as Bessarabians.

1. Vladimir Voronin
Before the Bolshevik revolution, Vladimir Mitrofanovich Purishkevich was a prominent politician in Russia who was known for his monarchist and antisemitic views. Additionally, he played a major role in promoting the Blood Libel. Purishkevich, who was raised in a Bessarbian noble family of modest means, earned a philosophy degree from Odessa University.
As the deputy chairman of the Union of the Russian People in 1905, Purishkevich was a far-right activist who identified as a member of the Russian nationalist movement. In 1908, following a division within the group, he established the Union of Archangel Michael, his own organization.
He established the Black Hundreds militia, which was well-known for taking part in multiple pogroms, during the Russian Revolution of 1905. The II, III, and IV Russian State Dumas all elected Purishkevich as a depute.
2. Orly Taitz
Orly Taitz is a key player in the “birther” movement, which questions Barack Obama’s eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States as a citizen by virtue of his natural birth.
She is a dentist, attorney, and former real estate agent. She has twice run for office at the state level in California. Additionally, she has filed several lawsuits on behalf of the “birther” movement and supports a variety of other claims against Obama, both true and false.
3. Valeria Lukyanova
Valeria Lukyanova is a Ukrainian model who is best recognized for her similarity to the Barbie doll made by Mattel; various publications have referred to her as a “real-life Barbie doll” and a “human Barbie.”
Valeria Lukyanova covers her naturally green eyes in contact lenses and makeup to intensify the appearance. The rest of her physique, she claims, is fully natural and thin thanks to frequent gym visits and a particular diet, despite the fact that she has admitted to having breast implants.

6. Lev Berg
The President of the Soviet Geographical Society from 1940 to 1950 was Lev Semyonovich Berg, a renowned Soviet geographer, naturalist, and ichthyologist. Apart from the theories of Darwin and Lamarck, he also created his own evolutionary theory.
7. Mircea Snegur
First President of Moldova from 1990 until 1997 was Mircea Ion Snegur. Prior to it, he served as the Supreme Soviet’s Chairman from April 27, 1989, to September 3, 1990, as well as its Chairman from 1989 to 1990. During the Soviet era, he was frequently referred to in English as Mircha Ivanovich Snegur, which is a translation of his Russian name, иpа ванови неур.
8. Maria BieÅŸu
A Moldovan opera singer named Maria BieÅŸu. She made her stage debut in 1961 and eventually rose to the position of a principal soprano with the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Moldova. She received offers to sing in various nations and received acclaim on a global scale for her creative accomplishments. She sang in Italy from 1965 to 1967 at the Milan Opera.
