What is one type of food we haven’t mentioned yet? Oh, right! Burgers. Everyone, and I mean everyone, loves a well-cooked burger and chips – and by chips, I mean fries. Unless you’re in England, and then I mean chips. Get it?

One of the earliest creators of the thriving burger scene in London, Hache has gone with a creative approach to the classic. Menu options here include rosemary lamb, truffle steak, and – wait for it – peanut butter topped patties/

With various topping options, like jalapenos and halloumi, we love that you can come here and get either a vegetarian or full-meat burger every day of the week, located just two minutes away from the Camden Town station.

1. Mildreds Camden

Soba Noodle Bowl – By HarshLight / CC BY (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)

Located in the heart of Camden on Jamestown Road, this Greek restaurant opened in 1988, when Soho was still a part of the ‘edgy’ scene. The entire mission of this small, family-owned restaurant was to provide fresh and colorful vegetarian food.

With main courses first starting at around $3, the owners decided to make the strong decision to not accept any bookings in order to turn over tables faster. Since their customers had no place to wait in line, they would be sent across the street to the nearby pub. This meant running back and forth between Mildreds and the pub, shouting the names of whoever was next on the list to bring in more waiting customers, providing a neighborhood feel and rapport with the neighboring bar.

Their menu today consists of Greek authentic dishes, with starters like gyoza dumplings and saffron arancini. The mains consist of Sri Lankan curry, Gochugaru noodle bowl, and various burgers, like a Duck Banh Mi burger.

To end the night right, you can choose between dessert options of a pistachio brownie, S’nickers mousse, or Limoncello elderflower truffles.

There you have it! The best Camden restaurants for you to visit on your next trip to England’s capital.
