The granite is believed to have formed over 280 million years ago making it the largest source of granite in Britain. These features make it unique and pretty special and amazing.

Dartmoor has the largest land slug. the Ash Black Slug is believed to exceed 20cm and it’s found in the woodlands of Dartmoor. It also has the largest area with granite and over 160 tors and beauty to the landscape.

You will find rivers on high grounds, some are used to generate power during mining and quarrying. These earth formations attract over 2.3 million visitors annually generating millions.
