10 Things to Eat in Chelsea, London
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: there’s a lot more to Chelsea than just pleasant streets and a football stadium.
The Chelsea food scene is a force to be reckoned with; surprisingly they have some of the most diverse cuisines in all of London, which is tends to happen in neighborhoods wealthy enough to fund them.
Here’s a closer look at ten fabulous things to eat when next you’re in Chelsea town:
1. Vegan: Wulf & Lamb in Chelsea, London
Since Chelsea has but one plant based eatery I’ll start things off with it. The Wulf & Lamb is an upmarket vegan restaurant in which one can eat all meals of the day under one roof, completely cruelty free.
Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner are covered via a creative menu that pushes the boundaries on what is usually found in this cuisine. They also do the best vegan burgers in this part of town (yes, I know there aren’t any others, but still).

2. Argentinean: Gaucho in Chelsea, London
Vegans look away! This Argentinean meat house is one of Chelsea’s most popular dinner spots, if you can afford it.
On par with a good guided walking tour, well prepared Argentinean meat can really change the way you see the world. At Gaucho the entire menu is authentic to the cuisine, and the dining experience is taken very seriously.
You’ll pay roughly £200 for two people, without alcoholic beverages. Like I said, it’s not cheap, it’s Chelsea.

3. Haute French: Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London
That’s right, Gordon Ramsay’s famous French restaurant calls Chelsea home in London Town.
The chef opened up this spot not too long ago, and people come from far and wide just to be able to say that they dined here. It’s one of the best places to enjoy French cuisine outside of France.
Booking is absolutely essential give it’s popularity amongst the tourists.

4. Lebanese: Ranoush Juice in Chelsea, London
I was on a mission to find the lowest of low-key eateries in Chelsea, convinced that there had to be a no frills, canteen style spot somewhere.
I give you Ranoush Juice! The only hole-in-the-wall restaurant Chelsea has probably ever known.
This is a Lebanese kebab shop that does a few traditional mezze dishes, desserts and fresh juices. It’s the anthesis of the dining experience you’ll have at Gordon Ramsey’s spot, but the food is still good and you won’t need a second mortgage to afford it either.

5. Vietnamese: Phat Phuc Noodle Bar in Chelsea, London
You gotta love a restaurant that forces London’s most proper civilians to throw caution to the wind every time they need to say its name.
Phat Phuc is a Vietnamese noodle bar specializing in the tractional dish of pho. The locals turn a blind eye to the risqué name because the food is just so phucking good!
If pho noodle aren’t your forte then they ahem rice and meat dishes too. Vegetarians/vegans are most welcome!

6. American Food: Big Easy in Chelsea, London
Burgers, lobsters, steaks bigger than your face — must be the Big Easy in Chelsea!
This is a gastropub style diner in which meat eaters are in absolute heaven. The food is saucy, greasy and served in portions as big and easy as the name itself.
During sporting events, particularly when Chelsea plays in the stadium just down the road, this is the most festive place to be. They also have live music on some evenings.

7. Latin: Azteca in Chelsea, London
Azteca is my personal guilty pleasure in Chelsea. It’s a Latin American cafe that does food and drinks late into the evening, often alongside live music and all the Cuban cigars you can devour.
Great tacos, tasty Micheladas, crispy tostadas and the creamiest guac this side of the Thames, what more do we need?
Since they open at 4pm daily this is a great spot to end off a guided walking tour past the stadium.

8. Pancakes: My Old Dutch in Chelsea, London
I’ve not found an authentic Dutch pancake house anywhere else in London other than Chelsea.
My Old Dutch really is a little gem of a cafe, serving rich, hot Dutch style pancakes from morning until night. Your stacks can come in your choice of sweet or savory; most visitors do one of each, making it like a main meal and a dessert.

9. Australian: Farm Girl Chelsea in Chelsea, London
Another thing you don’t see on London’s streets are “Australian restaurants”. Farm Girl is really just a glorified brunch spot, the Australian label comes in that the Aussies perfected the brunch menu long before the Brits.
Pancakes, breakfast toast, Eggs Benedict and a variety of health conscious lunches are available here. Good coffee too, and surprisingly, tacos? How very Australian…

10. Buffet: The Pie Man in Chelsea, London
If you’re out and about in Chelsea having a busy day of exploring then you don’t want to miss The Pie Man when it comes time for a quite bite.
You’ll order any pie of your choice and then make your way over to the very hearty, very generous salad bar for more sides than you’re probably ready for. Both the pie station and the salad bar have ample options for both gluten free and vegan eaters.
