While, Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann was a dance competition on American reality television that included choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, two of the four Dancing with the Stars judges. Drew Lachey, the season two champion of Dancing with the Stars, presented the evening.

8. He has worked as a choreographer in the music business

Tonioli has choreographed music videos, stage presentations, and tours for Tina Turner, Sting, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, Freddie Mercury, Sinitta, Boy George, Dead or Alive, Bananarama, and Duran Duran. He appeared in Elton John’s video for “I’m Still Standing” (1983). 

He also choreographed the music video for Arcadia’s song “Election Day,” which was featured in the 1980s documentary The Making of Election Day. He choreographed Minnie Driver for Ella Enchanted. 

9. He tried to appear on the Eurovision Song Contest

Although Bruno did not compete in the Eurovision finals, he did appear in the UK’s internal selection show A Song For Europe that year as part of the group Duke and The Aces. Unfortunately, their single Love Is Alive did not chart, finishing in seventh place that night. Instead, the UK sent Prima Donna to the Eurovision finals, where they finished third.

Tonioli’s name appears on the Decca CD An Italian Romance, which is a compilation of Italian songs by various performers chosen by Tonioli. Lewis, Jack Kapp, American Decca’s initial president, and Milton Rackmil, who eventually became American Decca’s president, founded the label in late 1934.
