Top 10 Facts about Dylan Sprouse

Dylan Thomas Sprouse is an actor from the United States. He is Cole Sprouse’s twin brother. He was born August 4, 1992, in Arezzo, Italy, to American parents, Matthew Sprouse and Melanie Wright.

Sprouse played Trevor in After We Collided, the sequel to the 2019 film After, 2020. However, Heavy Metal and Dina Studios announced in May 2020 that the first issue of Sprouse’s comic book Sun Eater would be released.  Except for Piggy Banks and Snow Buddies, all previous appearances were either roles shared with Cole Sprouse (in which the two portrayed the same character) or projects on which they both worked but portrayed different characters.

1. He is most known for his role as Zack Martin on the Disney Channel comedy The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spin-off

Sprouse began his television career in 1993, alongside his twin brother Cole Sprouse, playing Patrick Kelly in Grace Under Fire until 1998. He continued to feature in other films and television series with his brother over the next few years. From 2005 through 2008, Sprouse co-starred with his brother in the Disney Channel comedy The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is an American sitcom developed by Danny Kallis and Jim Geoghan. From March 18, 2005, through September 1, 2008, the series aired on Disney Channel. The series was nominated three times for an Emmy Award and three times for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award.

2. He was named after the famous Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas

Cole and Dylan Sprouse are both named after eminent personalities, however, he was named after Dylan Thomas. Dylan Marlais Thomas was a Welsh poet and writer best known for his poems “Do not go gentle into that good night” and “And death shall have no dominion,” as well as the “play for voices” Under Milk Wood and stories and radio broadcasts such as A Child’s Christmas in Wales and Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog. He was extremely popular throughout his existence and remained so after his death in New York City at the age of 39. By then, he had earned a reputation as a “roistering, inebriated, and doomed poet,” which he had fostered. 

3. He studied video game design

Cole and Dylan Sprouse both completed their undergraduate degrees at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study in New York. Dylan studied video game design while Cole studied archeology, geographic information systems, and satellite imaging.

Meanwhile, Dylan Sprouse is a gamer who worked as a commentator for Smash Bros. in 2014, covering various tournaments. He is a well-known figure in the video game industry.

4. He was to  Star in  a Chinese Film ‘Turandot’

Dylan Sprouse was supposed to star in Turandot, a China-produced film directed by Xiaolong Zheng and based on a script by Xiaoping Wang. He co-starred with Chinese actress Guan Xiaotong.

The Curse of Turandot is a 2021 Chinese romantic fantasy film directed by Zheng Xiaolong and starring Guan Xiaotong, Dylan Sprouse, Hu Jun, Lin Siyi, Collin Chou, and Wang Jia. The Curse of Turandot premiered in China on October 15, 2021. 

5. He is a Co-Founder of a Meadery

Dylan opened All-Wise Meadery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 2018. Dylan has been brewing mead since he was sixteen years old, according to Vice, and has been tinkering with recipes ever since. If All-Wise is out of reach, they do have a YouTube channel.

6. He Loves Anime

Dylan likes anime. Who can fault him? He has dressed up as a couple of different characters for Halloween. He recently professed his admiration for Demon Slayer, an anime. He even indicated that he will create it for it to have another season. Yes, more Nezuko and Tanjiro, please.

7. He was snowboarding since he was Four

Dylan and Cole learned to snowboard when they were four years old. Hopefully, by the time they were on Disney Channel, they were weary of snowboarding. Disney Channel officials and producers most likely tried to halt any activity that could place their two big stars in the spotlight. Because children grow up so quickly, filming them is a never-ending process.

8. He is an international ambassador with his brother Cole

The Koyamada International Foundation, founded in 2008, is an organization dedicated to empowering young adults and encouraging environmentally responsible habits around the world. Shin Koyamada, a Japanese actor and philanthropist who has worked with the Disney Channel since 2006, founded the charity. It was there that he met Dylan and Cole Sprouse for the first time. In 2012, Koyamada made them International Ambassadors of the foundation, inspired by their commitment to making the world a better place. They then proceeded to Japan on a goodwill mission to help promote relationships between Japanese and American youth.

9. He was not born in America

Dylan and Cole Sprouse appear to be as American as apple pie and football. However, it turns out that they were not born in the United States of America. No, the twins were born in a modest hospital in the Italian town of Arezzo. At the time, their parents were teachers at an English school in Tuscany.

10. He was in a relationship with a model

Sprouse has been in a relationship with model Barbara Palvin since 2018. After more than two years of living together in New York City, the pair moved west to Los Angeles, according to E! News. The couple announced their engagement in an exclusive conversation at the Revolve Gallery during New York Fashion Week.
