Ancol Dreamland is an integral part of Ancol Bay City, a resort destination located along Jakarta’s waterfront, in Ancol (Kelurahan), Pademangan, North Jakarta, Indonesia.
The facility is a recreational complex consisting of many sporting and leisure activities. It contains hotels, cottages, beaches, a theme park, traditional market places, an oceanarium, and a golf field.
Opened in 1966, Ancol Dreamland is the largest integrated tourism area in South East Asia. it has a total area of 552 hectares.

One of the most popular and visited sites in Ancol Dreamland is Dunia Fantasi. It is Jakarta’s largest and most interesting recreation park, situated on reclaimed land at the Bay of Jakarta.
Dunia Fantasi has its own theme park complete with over 40 rides and attractions. The theme park is divided into eight regions which are Jakarta, Indonesia, Asia, Africa, America, Europe, and the Fantasi Hikayat region.
Among its most popular attractions is a roller coaster manufactured by Arrow Dynamics, a log flume, a local version of Disney’s “It’s a Small World” and the Balada Monkey Parody theater show.
It is open to the public daily including on public holidays, and, it is a popular getaway for tourists and locals alike, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
2. Have a fun-filled day at Atlantis Water Adventure
Atlantis Water Adventure offers an extreme level of excitement unlike any other. It is built on the former site of the Swimming Court and occupies over five hectares of land.
This water park is themed on the mythological underwater world of Atlantis with a wave pool, continuous flowing river pool, rainbow ball pool, waterfall pool, and several slides.
It also has two children’s pools, five restaurants, and a food court that was imported from India, Brazil, Spain, and Bangladesh. A volleyball court and event center are also available to accommodate the needs of visitors.

Ocean Dream Samudra Ancol is one of the biggest oceanariums for dolphins and sea lions. it consists of marine and freshwater fish in a big aquarium and numerous bird species at the bird park.
It also features spectacular animals shown in Cinema 4D with special effects. Its 4D theater projects 3D images with cool breezes and water spray sensations.
The trained animal shows include a dolphin show and a sea lion show, where the scuba-equipped trainers put on a show entirely submerged in a unique, underwater theater.

4. Discover the SeaWorld Ancol

Sea World Ancol is a marine aquarium that consists of several tanks including the Main tank, shark tank, and turtle exhibit. Its Main tank is one of the biggest aquariums in Southeast Asia.
It was opened in 1996 and it features the acclaimed Antasena tunnel as well as the touch pool and shark.
SeaWorld Ancol also has a museum that displays preserved remains of marine life, including the giant stingray and various other saltwater fish.
5. Shop at Pasar Seni Art Market
Pasar Seni is an Art Market that started over 25 years ago. . It has become a center for handicrafts and art products. This art market has an open state, plaza, and souvenir shops.
Pasar Seni has also become a center where artists would create and sell their products. Every Friday night at 8:30 pm, Pasar Seni Ancol organized the event named “New Friday Jazz Nite”.
6. Explore Seribu Islands

Seribu Islands, or Thousand Islands, are a group of islands situated off Jakarta’s coast in Western Java, Indonesia. Administratively, it is a part of the Jakarta Special Capital Region.
The chain of islands is located about 50 kilometers north, Northwest of Jakarta. The most popular way to reach the islands is through Marina Ancol in the North of Jakarta. The boats leave at various times in the morning and you are required to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.
7. Tee at Ancol Golf Course
Ancol golf course is part of the giant recreational area of Ancol dreamland. The golf course is dotted with lots of coconut trees, bunkers, artificial lakes, and drains.
The course lies near the sea and is actually below sea level. it is an eighteen holes golf course that covers an area of 33 hectares.
Ancol Golf course is first Indonesia’s first international beach golf course and has a pro shop, an executive room, a meeting hall, and restaurants.

The Faunaland is a mini zoo located inside Allianz Ecopark and stands on an area of approximately 5 hectares consisting of land and water. It carries the concept of New Guinea which is a beautiful mixture of Asia and Australian cultures.
The zoo has a white siamang named Otong, which is the only one in the world. It also acquired a female Papuan eagle named Septa In February 2021.
