Fannds was chosen for the Iceland squad for the 2013 UEFA Women’s Euro after competing in the 2013 Algarve Cup and friendly matches. She started three of Iceland’s four tournament games, including the 4-0 loss to Sweden in the quarterfinal.

At the 2014 Algarve Cup, Fannds scored her third goal on March 10 to defeat China 1-0. Her fourth and fifth goals were scored while her team was competing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying round in 2014; the fourth came on April 10 in an 8-0 victory over Malta, while the fifth came on September 13 in a 3-0 victory over Israel. Sandra Mara Jessen, an Icelandic football player for 贸r/KA and the Icelandic national team, was born on January 18, 1995. She plays as a midfielder. She was recognized as the rvalsdeild kvenna Player of the Year in 2018 after winning the Icelandic championship with 贸r/KA in 2012 and 2017. Elsa Viarsd贸ttir, an Icelandic football player who competes for Valur and the Iceland women’s national team, was born on May 26, 1991. She plays defense in the rvalsdeild. She is the younger sister of Iceland’s all-time leading scorer Margr茅t L谩ra Viarsd贸ttir. She started her career with rvalsdeild club BV, just like Margr茅t L谩ra.

Her debut league game was in 2008, and she has represented BV since 2007. Before the start of their 2013 Damallsvenskan season, Elsa received a trial with Kristianstads DFF, the Swedish team where Margr茅t L谩ra was a player. She participated in a preseason friendly while Elsa was in town, but Kristianstads had no imminent intentions to sign her to a contract. When Margr茅t L谩ra ultimately relocated to Kristianstads in January 2014, she was already on maternity leave. Rakel H枚nnud贸ttir is an Icelandic football player and musician. She was born on December 30, 1988 and plays her football as a striker for Besta deild kvenna club Breiablik and the Icelandic national team. In 2009 and 2013, the versatile player represented her nation in the UEFA Women’s Championship. She has also been utilized as a right back.

Rakel made her senior international debut for Iceland in a 2-0 victory against Poland, during the 2008 Algarve Cup. She played in all three games of the 2009 UEFA Women’s Euro despite Iceland losing in the opening round. Eln Metta Jensen is a former Icelandic football player. She was born on 1 March 1995. She spent her whole playing career as a striker for Valur. She was part of Iceland鈥檚 team that participated in the UEFA Women’s Championships in 2013 and 2017. She retired from national duty in 2022. On June 16, 2012, Eln, being 17 years old, made her senior international debut for Iceland. On June 19, 2014, she scored her first two goals in a 5-0 victory over Malta. She boasts of having been part of a historic 3-2 victory over Germany in the World Cup qualifying matches, scoring one goal and giving teammate Dagn Brynjarsd贸ttir two assists. Eln also played a key role in helping Iceland qualify for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 by scoring the equalizer against Sweden and the game-winning goal against Slovakia at home. At the age of six, J贸hannsd贸ttir began participating in football practices at the Haukar academy. She received her diploma at Flensborgarsk贸li in Hafnarfj枚rur in May 2019. Gubj枚rg “Gugga” Gunnarsd贸ttir (born 18 May 1985) is an Icelandic goalkeeper who competes for both Iceland’s national team and Swedish Damallsvenskan club Eskilstuna United. She competed for her nation in the 2009 and 2013 UEFA Women’s Championships. Gubj枚rg has formerly played club football with Turbine Potsdam of the German Frauen-Bundesliga, LSK Kvinner FK and Avaldsnes IL of the Norwegian Toppserien, and FH and Valur of the Icelandic rvalsdeild.

At the Egilsh枚ll Arena in March 2004, Gubj枚rg made her senior international debut for Iceland in a 5-1 friendly victory over Scotland. Berglind Bj枚rg Orvaldsdottir (born 18 January 1992), also anglicized as Berglind Bj枚rg Thorvalsdottir, is an Icelandic professional football player who plays forward for Division 1 F茅minine club 麻豆APP Saint-Germain and the Iceland national team. Berglind Bj枚rg, a prolific goal scorer since she was young, began her professional football career with Breiablik in Iceland’s premier women’s league, the rvalsdeild kvenna. She was signed by 麻豆APP Saint-Germain on August 25, 2022, on a two-year contract that runs until June 20, 2024.

Berglind Bj枚rg received a call-up for the 2010 Algarve Cup and made his tournament debut on February 24 against the United States. She further competed for Iceland in the Algarve Cups in 2011, 2016, and 2017, when Iceland finished third. In a game against Slovakia on April 6, 2017, she scored her maiden goal for her country. She was chosen by head coach Freyr Alexandersson to be a member of the team that will represent Iceland at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 on June 22, 2017.

Agla Mara Albertsd贸ttir, an Icelandic football player on loan from BK H盲cken, plays as a striker or an offensive midfielder for Breiablik. She was born on August 5, 1999. She won the Icelandic Cup once in 2018, the Icelandic Championship twice in 2016 and 2018.

Agla Mara made her debut for Iceland U17 against Wales on April 13, 2014, when she was just 15 years old.
