1.First Disney Theme Park in Asia
Hong Kong Disneyland is the first Disney theme park in Asia and attracts more than 10 million local and international tourists annually. It is situated on a hillside at Penny’s Bay in Lantau Island, a short drive from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.
As far as the attractions are concerned, several shows and rides can be experienced by visitors, including Grizzly Gulch, which opened in 2007.
With a wide range of entertainment and adventure, it has attracted many tourists worldwide. It is also the first Disney theme park to introduce two extravagant firework shows synchronized with music – The Disney Superstar Series and World of Colour, which are run in conjunction with their Hollywood parks.

Saving money for the park was difficult. The Hong Kong government had to pay a fee to build the park. As a result, the Hong Kong government was forced to raise taxes and borrow money to meet these costs. The Hong Kong government has repaid almost all of the debt, except for $10 million, which was still owed in 2008.
3.The Hong DisneyLand has Fantasia Gardens
The Fantasia Gardens, located in the park’s northwest, features over 30 different Disney characters and was inspired by scenes from Disney’s Fantasia. The garden is divided into four sections: Flora Gardens, Water Front, Grotto Gardens, and Pavilion.
It is normally open to visitors during regular park hours; however, it will be closed during special events such as Christmas parties and New Year’s Eve.
4.The Hong DisneyLand Experienced Opening Date Delays
The park was originally planned for an opening date of 2002 but experienced delays. The reasons for these delays included the 1997 Asian financial crisis, which caused a recession and a sharp increase in land prices because Disney had bought and kept undeveloped land that it sold to itself at a profit, as well as construction and design errors.
A local contractor was hired to build a ride, which would have cost $100 million and required a total revamp of the park.
