The Naked Island Siargao Philippines is an Island in Philippines that has nothing growing on it and has fine white sand and cool clear waters. It got its name because of its ‘nakedness’; there’s no shade or almost anything on the island. It is only a few minutes away by boat from General Luna.

Unlike other islands, Naked Island Siargao has nothing except white sand. There are no restaurants, no rocks, and definitely no trees on it. It’s completely bare and naked – hence the name.Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting facts about it;

1. It is one of the smallest Island off the cost of Siargao

At only 60 feet long, it’s also one of the smallest islands off the coast of Siargao. Although it may not seem like there are many activities, Naked Island is still a great place to take pictures or cool off in the refreshing waters.

It’s a top destination that’s worth a stopover while visiting Siargao Island.The island is very unique in its own way and many visitors love it as one of the best attractions. They often come here to take pictures and also enjoy thr cool waters of the lake.

As you might have guessed, there are no facilities on Naked Island. After all, it’s known as ‘naked’ for a reason. Don’t expect to find any cafes, restaurants, shops, or even bathrooms here. If you think you’ll need a snack, you should bring your own food and drinks on the boat , If you also want to snorkel or play games during your visit, you’ll need to provide your own equipment.

Some boats may have these things as part of the tour, but it’s not guaranteed. It’s also recommended to bring sun protection like hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen with you on your trip because it sometimes gets quite hot.

3. There are little options when it comes to activities done on the Island

Without much on Naked Island itself there is very little to do here. Many people flock to the waters for a quick swim. The water is crystal clear, and you can see right to the white sand at the bottom. You’ll find visitors swimming around the shallow waters along the shore, or jumping off their boats into the deeper parts of the ocean.

You can walk from one end of Naked Island to the other in a couple of minutes. At only 60 feet long, it’s one of the smallest islands in the Philippine Sea. There aren’t many places in the world where you can walk the span of an island in such a short amount of time.

There are also several restaurants near the Naked island including; near Naked Island: CEV Ceviche & Kinilaw (4.61 mi), Bravo Restaurant (4.63 mi), BLISS Restaurant (5.74 mi), Sushi Nori (4.61 mi) and Shaka Siargao (5.87 mi). 

5. It is a nice picturesque scene

Was a nice picturesque scene, was the first island on our tour and we arrived when there weren’t many people there. Not a whole lot to do other then take a few pics, walk around the island itself and then maybe take a quick dip before moving onto the next place.

Most people also come here to take photos and also take a walk around the Island. There is absolutely nothing except the sand bar and the crystal clear water. Well its kind of a different experience with powder white sand rising out of the ocean. 

6. It is one of the top tourist spots in Siargao

It is probably one of the top tourist spots in Siargao because of the beautiful scenery that you can only find in the island. Naked Island is one of the three islands visible from the shores of General Luna, Siargao. The other two are Dako Island and Guyam Island. 

During high tide, Naked Island becomes smaller because other parts sink a few feet below sea level, so it’s much better for tourists to go during low tide. This time, the island is more perfect, like a white paradise where you can just lie down and enjoy the sand.

Transportation to the Island is easy and cheap, visitors who want to see first-hand the pure white sand can go to Naked Island by traveling from Cebu to Siargao by air. From Siargao, they can travel to General Luna Pier and hire a boat that will take them to the three islands including Naked Island.

A trip to Naked Island is an opportunity to see the rich islands of Siargao and a conglomerate of reefs and white sandy beaches. It really appeals to nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

There is also no entrance fee for visiting Naked Island in Siargao. You’ll only have to pay for the tour.This makes it one of the most visited sites in Siargao because of its budget friendliness.

Naked Island or Pansukian is a 200-meter long white sand bar located a few minutes away by boat from General Luna, Siargao, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. This island is called Naked Island because there are no trees and no shed on the island, just pure white sand bar.

You can only leave nothing behind but your footprints and always prepare to get a tan while on Naked Island. This makes the island even more interesting to watch and visit.

It is mostly crowded during the peak season. Crowds of people, especially if you’re visiting on a tour during peak season. It’s an extremely popular destination from Siargao, so it’s common to encounter dozens of other boats docked at the island. 

The value for money is definitely there, especially if you’re traveling alone or with a partner. If you’re traveling in a larger group, it might be cheaper to book a privately chartered tour of the islands, just keep in mind that these rarely include lunch.
