Born 28th March, 1992, Berta Vazquez is a Spanish-Ukrainian actress, singer and model of Ethiopian origin. She was born Birtukan Tibebe to an Ethiopian father and a Ukrainian mother.

1. Berta Vazquez Is a Spanish-Ukrainian of Ethiopian Origin
Berta Vazquez was born on 28th March, 1992 in Kyiv in Ukraine to a Ukrainian father and an Egyptian father. The name she was given to her by her biological father and mother at birth was Birtukan Tibebe.
At the age of three she was adopted in Elche in Spain by a Spanish family. Berta is a Spanish-Ukrainian actress, singer and model of Ethiopian origin
2. Berta Vazquez Was Born into A Poor Family
Berta’s mother was of Ukrainian citizen while her father was an Ethiopian living in Ukraine which attests to why she was given the Ethiopian name Birtukan Tibebe at birth.
Her mother was a worker in a supermarket while her father was jobless most of the times. Her biological parents were therefore poor and lacked the wherewithal to raise her and as a result gave her up for adoption.
Berta was consequently adopted in Elche in Spain by a Spanish family when just three years old.
3. After High School Berta Pursued Her Artistic Career Instead of Going to College
Berta enrolled in Paula Yeray’s illicit School where she pursued her training in dancing in Elche.
She graduated from high school in 2010 but decided not to enroll at a college to pursue higher education.
Instead of pursuing higher education after graduating from high school in 2010, she moved to Madrid while at the age of 18 to follow her passion and focus on her artistic career.
4. Berta Vazquez’s Acting Career Begun with A False Start
Berta begun her career with an artistic training and dance training at Paula Yeray’s illicit school in Elche.
After graduating from high school, she moved from Elche to Madrid when at only 18 to pursue her passion in acting.
While in Madrid she sent a video of the Voice of Spain of the second edition of reality show La Voz Espanha but unfortunately the video was rejected.
5. She Got Her First Break Through A Year Later
A year after her video was rejected, she got her first breakthrough in acting when she got her first role in a film.
In 2013 she was chosen to play a role in “The Party In L’Agent” which kickstarted her career.
The short film which was directed and written by Penelope Cruz enabled her to make a debut on television in an episode named ‘Confianza’ which was a musical ‘Dreamland’.
She made a debut further in a Spanish romantic film “Palmeras en la nieve” thereafter.
In the film which was based on the best seller by Luis Gabas, Berta was cast as Bisila, a native woman from Equatorial Guinea. In the film Kilian acted by Mario Casas was in a love story with Bisila.
6. Berta Rose To Fame In 2014 After Passing the Casting Test
In the prison series aired in Antena 3 Channel which later became Fox Spain called Vis a Vis Berta passed her casting test so to say for the role she acted which definitely propelled to fame.
In the prison series she was cast as to Estefanía Kabila “Rizos / Cachinhos”.
She acted as a detainee who was arrested for theft and personal injury and was serving a three-year sentence.
7. Berta’s Acting and Musical Career Took Off After Small Beginnings
After small beginnings, Berta’s acting and musical career seemed to gather speed.
She filmed the romantic comedy “Las leyes de la termodinámica” where she played the role of Elena in a film directed by Mateo Gil in 2017.
During the same year she was cast in Telecinco’s television series El accidente in the role of Maria which featured from 2017 to 2018.
In June 28th, 2020 she released a mixtape entitled Beats for Berta Vázquez or the The Birtukan Tibebe Mixtape which contained a series of playlists with an Extended Play Record that accompanied her in live audition.

Berta has appeared in four films namely Palmeras en la nieve where she acted as Bisila in 2015 and In your head in 2016 in which she acted as Camarera.
In 2017 she acted in Batman: The lego film in which she acted as Harley Quinn and The thermodynamic laws in 2018 in which she acted as Elena.
Berta appeared in three TV series in her acting career. The first TV series which was aired from 2015 to 2019 was Vis a vis in which she acted as Estefanía Kabila “Rizos” in 38 episodes.
The next TV series was aired in two episodes as from 2016 to 2018 and was named Paquita Rooms in which she acted as herself.
The last TV series was The accident in which she was the main cast as Maria Ndongala in all the 13 episodes.
