Uri Geller, son to Itzhaak an Australian-Jewish, and Margaret a Hungarian-Jewish is an Israel-British Illusionist, television personality magician, and self-confessed clairvoyant born on 20th December 1946. He took part in the 1967 Six-Day War as the Israel Army’s paratroopers Brigade with Ariel Sharon.
His trademark of spoon-bending on television programs brought his status to the summit. He uses legerdemain to stimulate the effects of extra sensory perception and clairvoyance. He has run his career for more than four decades as an entertainer.
1. Geller’s career was revealed as stage magic
In 1973, Geller faced the hardest time in his career on the Tonight Show where Jonny Carson was the Starring. His appearance was depicted in the Nova documentary called Secrets of Psychics where Rand was the host.
Randy says that Jonny Carson, also a magician was dubious of Geller’s avowed mystic powers and so before the taping of the show, Randy prepared his own props without notice to Geller so as to prevent any trickery from Geller.

Christopher Evans, a psychologist, reviewed the book and commented that the book was credulous. He added that if his fans used the book as a pointer to impress the skeptics would be disappointed. 3. Geller took legal action against James Rand
James Rand was one of the toughest critics Geller had come across in his entire life. Rand a magician and investigator revealed Gellr’sactual methods to be stage magic. In 1973, Rand exposed Geller on the Tonight show by preventing any trickery, he wrote a biography “The Truth About Uri Geller” on spoon bending tricks, and in 1989, Rand said in an interview with a Japanese newspaper that Geller caused the death of a scientist who shot himself dead after fooling him.
Geller sued Rand in a Japanese court over the statements published in the Japanese paper in 1990. In 1992, He sued Rand again for statements made in an International Herald Tribune but was unsuccessful.
4. Despite his successes in his career Geller also had fails
In 1992, Uri Geller gave a wrong prediction about the Hungarian Model Helga Farkas that she would be found in good health after she was released from her kidnappers. Instead, she was found murdered.
In 1997, Geller placed energy-infused crystals behind the goalpost of Exeter City to prevent it from losing. Exeter lost the match 5-1. after he was appointed assistant chairman of the club in 2002, the club was relegated to the Conference League in 2003.
5. Uri Geller failed in many lawsuits against his instigators
After he failed the lawsuits with James Rand one of his major critics, Geller was sanctioned a $149000 for filing a flippant lawsuit against Timex Corporation and the advertising firm Fallon McElligot for a person bending forks and other items but failing to stop a Timex watch in 1991.
In 1998, again failed to win the lawsuit against the Broadcasting Standards Commission (UK) for showing magicians duplicating psychic feats in”Secrets of the Super Psychics” on the United Kingdom Equinox Episodes.
6. Geller is a man full of reputation
Uri Geller took organizations such as broadcasting and advertising companies and other Television personalities such as James Rand that tried to defame him, to court for trial. His reputation was far much the best no matter what way he used to earn it.
In 2001, Geller renewed his wedding vows with Michael Jackson as the best man. He used a big personality because of his reputation by the world community. He also negotiated a TV interview between Jackson and Martin Bashir, a journalist. Actually, Geller started performing after leaving the Israel Army military base and enrolled in amateur science fiction and experiments. He then started performing for small audiences such as his friends and as a nightclub entertainer.
He then started performing in public halls, theatres, military bases, auditoriums, and Universities in Isreal. His performance in Israel sparked his social status reaching the summit in Israel.
