Nas Daily is a page created by Yassin after he quit his job in 2016 at Venmo and decided to travel around the world and explore new things. He had the intention of documenting every section of his travel and experiences on video hence, he created the page that he used on his social media handles like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Nuseir Yassin, an Arab-Isreal vlogger creates over 1000 videos daily which are one minute long and posts them on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. In the article are the top ten amazing facts about Nas Daily.

1. Yassin did not pursue the career he applied in university

Yassin applied to Harvard University in the US when he was 19 aspiring to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering. Fortunately, he received a scholarship after he wrote the impact of ethnicity on his life as an Arab born in Israel. 

Unfortunately, he ended up graduating with a degree in economics in 2014 as his major and computer science being his minor. Even though it’s not detailed how things went after his admission to the University, this was not the actual course he aspired to graduate with.

2. He worked at Venmo

Venmo is an American mobile payment service founded in 2009 and is owned by Paypal. Its foundation aimed mainly at families and friends who wished to make a detailed plan of sorting out their bills efficiently.

Having minored in computer science, Yassin started working in the company while he was pursuing his major in economics in 2014, as a software developer.

3. Yassin is his personal econimist

An economist is an expert who studies the relationship between a society’s production. Yassin quit his job in 2016 as a software developer in Venmo and decided to explore the world.

He makes his own videos using his expenses. It is not cheap to make one-minute facebook, TikTok, or Instagram videos. Actually, each video costs about USD100 to make according to Yassin’s recent report on video editing costs. As an economist, he knows how he controls his input to bring out a favorable output and that’s how he managed to stand his feet up to date.

4. Yassin does post on his YouTube channel

Before he said he doesn’t use YouTube because he hates the site. He said that YouTube is used like a landmark that directs his fans and viewers to his official page and the legitimate websites he uses like Instagram.

He had said in a press conference in 2017 that he did not post on his YouTube channel for various reasons like his friends were not on the site.

Fortunately, in 2019 he started uploading his old videos on his official YouTube account. he even changed his description” THIS IS THE OFFICIAL NAS DAILY ACCOUNT ON YOUTUBE AND IT”S INACTIVE” to a positive long description of about 60- 64 words.

5. Did you know he is of Palestinian descent?

Even though Yassin describes him as a Palestinian-Israel, actually, he was born in Arraba, Israel, to an Arab Muslim family ( Adherents of Islam who identify linguistically, culturally, and genealogical as Arabs).

The family is of Palestinian descent. He only associates himself with a Palestinian Israel because he is a Palestinian Arab with Israeli citizenship.

6. He published a memoir

HarperCollins Publishers by Stephen Sweeney –

In 2019, Yassin published his memoir titled Around the World in 60 Seconds.  Publishing the memoir was possible because he formed a coalition with HarperCollins Publishers LLC, one of the Big Five English Language publishing companies in New York City, United States. 

The memoir is a collection of his 1000-day one-minute journey videos of his lifetime compiled together in book form.

7. He is not concerned with religious practices

Did you know that although Yassin is born an Islam and raised as a Muslim he stopped practicing Islam? This means he neither follows the Abrahamic religion nor considers Quran as a central religious text of Islam.

He declared himself a non-religious Muslim where he separates religion from civic affairs and the state ( Secularism). He is irreligion, foreign policy perpetuated by post-colonial ruling elites!

8. He was accused of being a zionist

He was accused of believing in Israel’s national ideology during the Palestine-Israel conflict. Zionism refers to the belief that a Jewish national state should be created in Palestine. The News outfit Middle seat Eye claimed that Yassin increased the prominence of Israel. The article further said that his videos on Nas daily showed the acceptance of the new borders of Israel and Palestine.

He released a video in 2019 where Jewish people were making racist statements about him. Yassin was boycotted by the Palestinian-led Movement Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions after Nas daily Academy offered a 6 month paid training opportunity for 80 Arabs creators in August 2020.

BDS claimed that the program was a cover for Israel on its crime since the Nas Academy had a well-established link with the United Arab Emirates government that supported Israel’s political settlement of conflicts over Palestine land.

9. Nas daily is just a nickname

The uniqueness of the name gives the page the natural taste for the content posted in it and is not prone to plagiarism i.e another vlogger can use the name Nas Daily to post videos for his interests because the page is protected by copyrights. In Nas Daily, Nas means  People in Arabic.

10. He wears the same T-shirt design every and everywhere he goes
