12. Zebra Murders

They were a string of racially motivated attacks that were committed by a group of four black serial killers in San Francisco. They killed at least 15 people and wounded eight others. Authorities believed that they may have killed as many as 73 or more victims since 1970. The first attack was on October 20, 1973, the victims were Richard Hague and his wife Quita. After the first attack, the four boys went on to kill more people consecutively for the months that followed. In 1974, the rewards to anyone who offered information leading to the boys totaled $30,000. 

13. Jeffrey Dahmer

Also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal was a serial killer and sex offender who killed and dismembered 17 males between 1978 and 1991. He was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic disorder. However, he was found to be legally sane at his trial. Jeffrey was convicted of 15 of the 16 homicides he had committed in Wisconsin. He was sentenced to fifteen terms of life imprisonment on February 17, 1992.  He was later sentenced to a sixteenth term of life imprisonment for additional homicide.

14. Christopher Scarver

He is known for murdering his fellow inmates Jeffrey Dahme, and Jesse Anderson at the Columbia Correctional Institution. After both murders, he was sentenced to two further life sentences. In 1990, murdered Wisconsin Conservation Corps training program office manager John Feyen. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison and sent to the Columbia Correctional Institution.

15. Jesse Anderson

On April 21, 1992, Jesse stabbed his wife Barbara five times in the face and head after dinner.  He went on to blame two black men for attacking him and his wife but the details didn’t fit so the authorities investigated and found Jesse guilty. On April 29, he was charged with murder, and on August 13, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 60 years.
