Equatorial Guinea Bissau is another top African country located in West Africa. The country has top talents who have represented them on international stages. Soccer players from Guinea have played in top European leagues over the years.

However, the Guinea national team has never managed to take part in World Cup since this tournament was established. The team has fought hard to get to this competition, but they have always failed to push harder to get a spot.

Nevertheless, Guinea’s national soccer team has managed to compete in major African competitions. They have participated in the Africa Cup of Nations over the years where they thrive well. The team’s best finish in the Africa Cup of Nations was in 1976 when they were runners-up.

Born on 15th November 1941, Ibrahima Kandia Diallo was a top Guinean soccer player. He used to play in any position in the attacking area of the pitch. The soccer player was a versatile attacker who won a lot during his playing time.

He played for the Guinea national team where he played in fifty-six games and scored thirty-three goals. Ibrahima Diallo also competed in the men’s tournament at the 1968 Summer Olympics where he excelled well. His career in the international scene is not well documented but he is exceptionally regarded as one of the best players from Guinea.

2. Pablo Thiam

Pablo Thiam is a former Guinean soccer player who was a defensive midfielder and a defender. He majorly played for German clubs where he excelled well during his playtime. Pablo Thiam’s career started in 1994 and retired in 2008.

A huge block of a person, Pablo used to bully his opponents off the ball easily because of his physique and height which was his major strength. He played for Bayern Munich, Koln, Stuttgart, and Wolfsburg before he retired.

As a defensive midfielder, Pablo was also an important player who scored goals in some of the games he played. In the 311 games he played, he scored 23 goals.

3. Aboubacar Camara

 His soccer career started in 1997 and is still playing professional football as a midfielder for Andenne. Camara began his international career in the summer of 2004 when he joined the Belgian side K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen.

However, his career has never been that fantastic as he plays soccer for lower-tier teams. Camara has only had two appearances for the Guinea national team since he made his debut.

Naby Keita is a professional footballer who plays for Liverpool football club as a central midfielder. Keita has not had a smooth career in England after moving from RB Leipzig where he was so amazing.

Injuries have been hindering his game time but when fit, he is usually a dangerous player who helps his team a lot. The number 8 of Liverpool has stamina, hunger for moving the balls forward and defends well. His hopes of playing in the World Cup are not deemed as he has a chance in 2026.

5. Mohamed Bayo

Mohamed Bayo was born to Guinean parents in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He is a quality forward who plays for Lille where he joined on a long-term deal last summer.

Mohamed is a giant of a striker who has composure in front of the goal, can dribble past opponents, has quick feet and has an eagle’s eye for the goal. He is rated as a top soccer player for the future who will shine after getting more experience.

6. Amadou Diawara

Born on 17th July 1997, Amadou Diawara is a top Guinean soccer player who plays for the Belgian club Anderlecht as a midfielder. He also plays for the Guinea male soccer team since 2018.

A talented midfielder, Amadou is well known for his command in the midfield, his brilliant passes and how he reads the game well. Amadou played for Italian sides Napoli, Roma, and Bologna before making his move to the Belgian league. Amadou is also a tidy player who tackles and wins balls easily when his team loses the ball.

Moriba Kourouma Kourouma who is widely known as Ilaix Moriba plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club Valencia on loan from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. Deemed one of the best for the future, Moriba is a talented soccer player whose trademark play is to take on his opponents and release his teammates to score.

Moriba was highly rated by the Barcelona management but he never got the chance to stay on as he featured on 19 occasions only. He is a strong, physical and creative player who is compared to former Manchester United player Paul Pogba.

8. Mouctar Diakhaby

Diakhaby is a professional soccer player who is a defender for the La Liga club Valencia. A man mountain, Diakhaby is a strong defender who is best on aerial duels and cannot be taken on easily by skilful strikers.

His career has spawned around France and Spain as he hopes to be a legendary soccer player from Guinea. At the youth level, Mouctar Diakhaby represented France but later represented Guinea at the start of the year.

9. Mohamed Mady Camara

Born on 28th February 1997, Mohamed Mady Camara is a professional central midfielder who plays for Serie A club Roma on loan from Olympiacos. Camara is a top soccer player who also represents Guinea national team on the international scene.

Mady Camara is a mammoth of a midfielder who loves winning the ball back and put on a fighting spirit in any challenge he is given. His ambitions are usually clear on the pitch as he takes on his opponents, makes great interceptions, and blocks and helps his team in progressing forward.

10. Florentin Pogba

Florentin is the elder brother of former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and the Pogba family. He is an experienced centre-back who plays for the Indian Super League club ATK Mohun Bagan.

He is an aggressive, stacked-up defender who is good at protecting his goalkeeper. Florentin Pogba has not had one of the best careers at the club level by playing for top teams, but he is renowned for his contribution to his teams.
