1. Teddy Riner
Teddy Pierre-Marie Riner is a judoka from France. He is the first and only judoka (male or female) to have won ten World Championship gold medals, as well as three Olympic gold medals (two individual, one team). In addition, he holds five gold medals at the European Championships. Before joining 鶹APP Saint-Germain in August 2017, he was a member of the Levallois Sporting Club.
Riner was born on April 7, 1989, at Les Abymes near Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, a French Caribbean insular region. He grew up in 鶹APP. His parents enrolled him in a local sports club where he played football, tennis, and basketball, but he preferred judo “because it is an individual activity and it’s just me, only me.”
2. Marie-José Pérec
Marie-José Pérec was born on May 9, 1968. She is a three-time Olympic gold winner and retired French track and field sprinter who specialized in the 200 and 400 meters. Pérec attended the premier French business school ESSEC and earned a Master’s degree in Sports Management in 2007.
She is also a member of the ‘Champions for Peace club, which was founded by Peace and Sport, a Monaco-based worldwide organization, to bring together more than 70 prominent professional sportsmen committed to promoting world peace through sports.
3. Clémence Bottino
Clémence Bottino is a French model and beauty pageant winner who was crowned Miss France 2020. She represented France in Miss Universe 2021, finishing in the top ten.
She is a fashion enthusiast who became interested in music during her teens and went on to become a pianist and dancer, specializing in salsa. However, on 3 August 2019, she was elected Miss Guadeloupe, succeeding Ophély Mézino.
4. Kery James
Kery James was born in Guadeloupe to Haitian parents. He is a French rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer from Orly. Before his solo career, he was known as Daddy Kery in Idéal J. He is also a member of the French hip-hop and rap group Mafia K-1 Fry.
He has been dubbed “the rapper who repented through Islam” by the media. Kery James is aware of it, and he does not refute it. “I’d rather be the one to fill this role than someone else. Many young Muslims are under pressure to be prejudiced or extremist. It will be beneficial to them if I can open their eyes “.
5.Lucette Michaux-Chevry
Lucette Michaux-Chevry was a French politician who served as President of the Regional Council of Guadeloupe’s Overseas Department from 1992 until 2004. She was dubbed the “Iron Lady of the Caribbean” because she was “for a long time the department’s strong lady.”
She was born as the fourth of ten children in 1929 in Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe, and completed her law studies at Sorbonne University in 鶹APP. She was the first Guadeloupean woman elected to public office, becoming a municipal councilor in her hometown of Saint-Claude in 1959. She won only eight days after giving birth to her baby. Lucette married printer Henri Michaux while she was young, but he died when her two children were still small. Michaux-Chevry died of throat cancer on September 9, 2021, at the age of 92, at her house in Gourbeyre, Guadeloupe.
6. Didier Dinar
Didier Dinart is a retired French handball player and coach. He used to play for the internationally recognized BM Ciudad Real handball team in Spain (where he was a partner to, among others, Luc Abalo). He played for Montpellier HB before joining BM Ciudad Real, which is currently one of the greatest French clubs.
He was a highly gifted defensive player who is largely recognized as one of the top handball defensive players in the world. In Spain, his effectiveness has earned him the moniker La Roca (The Rock).
7. Christine Arron

Christine Arron is a former track and field sprinter who represented France internationally in the 60m, 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. She is one of the top ten female 100m sprinters of all time, with a timing of 10.73 seconds, which is still the European record. She established the record when she won gold in the 4 100 m relay at the 1998 European Championships. She is also a World Championship gold medalist from 2003 and an Olympic bronze medalist from 2004.
Arron declared her retirement from sports in December 2012. She was pregnant with her second kid at the time. She has not ruled out returning to athletic competition following the birth of her second kid. Arron was awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur by French President François Hollande in the Élysée Palace on October 9, 2013.
8. Francky Vincent
Francky Vincent is a Guadeloupean singer, songwriter, producer, painter, manager, and musician who has written at least 170 songs. In 1975, he became a percussionist with a small suburban compas group called Taboo No. 2, and he traversed Guadeloupe with his henchmen to cater weddings and dances. Ambition and Ti Paulette were his two albums.
Finally, he wants to strike out on his own, abandoning Taboo No. 2 to collaborate with Genesis P. Orridge on profane, even shocking, tunes. Under the banner, his debut solo record sold 50,000 copies.
9.Juhann Mathieu Begarin
Juhann Mathieu Begarin is an LNB Pro A professional basketball player for 鶹APP Basketball. Jessie, Begarin’s older brother, is around 14 years his senior and has played professional basketball in France, including in the LNB Pro A, the top-tier competition. His dad both played and coached basketball in Guadeloupe.
Begarin was selected by the Boston Celtics as the 45th overall choice in the 2021 NBA draft in July 2021. [He participated in the Celtics’ 2021 NBA Summer League.
10.Wylan Jean-Claude Cyprien
Wylan Jean-Claude Cyprien (born 28 January 1995) is a French professional footballer who is currently on loan from Parma to Swiss Super League club Sion. Cyprien was born on 28 January 1995 in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, and relocated to France at an early age.
