Being the largest thermal bath complex in Europe, it gets around 4000 people each day. It is a 30-minute drive northeast of Munich, with beautiful grounds and even beautiful history. Initially, the place was meant to be a mini thermal bath.
In 1983, an American oil company wanted to use the now thermal park as an oil rig, however, they discovered it had sulfurous water and began the construction of the park. The foundation was laid in 1998 and was opened in 1999. In 2007, the park underwent an expansion.
After the expansion, it opened with many sections that would later make visitors enjoy the park more. It is known for having the largest sauna complex in the world, one would say that the new park was meant to break every world record made by water parks.
The park has been rated the largest thermal bath in entire Europe, making it the perfect holiday destination. With more than 10 saunas and 34 pools for children to enjoy, there is no wonder there are a lot of visitors.
More than 100 million euros were invested in the park since its inauguration and since then it hasn’t failed or been shut down due to finances. Due to how large the park is, more than 600 jobs have been created since the park officially opened.
Since the park was opened, the area has grown in number, with many hotels, parks, restaurants, and other tourist attractions have been added.
1. The Galaxy Section is home to the 2nd longest tube slide in Europe
The waterslide park has a 25- meter high metal dome that can be half-opened during summer. It has 20 waterslides and is home to the 2nd longest tube slide in Europe. The slides are divided into three levels: family, action, and X-treme. The best part about it is that it is open to families and individuals of all ages.
In 2012, the park owners planned to expand this section, it will have ten new slides and a combined length of over 2.750 meters.
2. The Thermenparadies has unique sulfur mineral springs
With a surface area of 27,500 square meters of thermal gardens. The interior is covered by a glass dome it has a pool, pool bar, waterfall, neck showers, massage jets, jacuzzi beds, and current channels.
But that’s not all, it also offers, quiet rooms, a massage area, health baths, a steam room, bio-sauna, and a children’s area.
As the gardens, it has an outside pool that meets the indoor spa pool, sulfur mineral springs, a sandy beach, and a beach volleyball pitch. It is open to families and children of all ages.
3. The Vital-Oase and Saunaparadies are enriched with minerals from the Dead Sea
The vital-Oase is only available for those aged 16 or over, it has a spa pool with a pool bar, a sulfur mineral spring, clothed saunas, and a restaurant. In 2008, three health pools were added, they are enriched with minerals like selenium and calcium from the Dead Sea.
As for the sauna paradise, it is a nudist sauna complex. It has two steam rooms and multiple beauty treatment parlors. The building lies beneath a large glass roof that can be fully opened in nice weather.
It has whirlpools and jacuzzi beds, and the entire building has seven saunas along with a meditation pool and a ladies-only area.
4. German Sauna Federation Awarded it as the best thermal bath
The park received a mark of 1.6 as a result of thermal bath testing in which 22 other thermal baths across Germany were tested. The sauna complex was named a Premium Sauna in 2009 by the German Sauna Federation.
It won in 2007, 2008, and 2010 for being the best thermal bath experience.
5. Exciting Events At Therme Erding
The slides are often used for German sliding championships while, at the Galaxy section, parties featuring famous Djs are held there. Once a month, there are themed evenings in the sauna and thermeparadies.
6. Excellent Choice of Hotels Around the Park
Due to its high rate of visitors, there are many hotels that have been built around Therme Erding. Some of the hotels include those from Five stars all the way to three stars. They are available thus no overbooking or poor service due to the high number of guests.
However, most of the hotels are only 0.3 kilometers away from the spa while the furthest is 1.1 kilometers away. The prices are affordable for large families, and there are usually offers during the high peak seasons.

With the park being a major success, the tourists are able to go to other locations before they leave the site. The attractions include the museum ending, Erdinger brewery, Kronthaler Weiher, and Stadtpark.

A Roman sauna is gentle on the body and stimulating all at once, the dry atmosphere and near-body temperatures strengthen one’s immune defenses without burdening the circulatory system.

The only difference between the Tepidarium sauna and the Laconium sauna is that Laconium has fresh lavender essences in the warm air. This helps the guests relax and soothe their minds.

Due to its renovations, the Saunaparadies is recorded as the largest sauna complex in the world. But that’s not all, the Galaxy waterslide is the biggest indoor waterslide in all of Europe.
