Dortmund is the 3^rd largest city in the North Rhine- Westphalia region of Germany. It is a vibrant center, known for its Westfalen Stadium and home to the Borussia soccer team.

It is centrally located in the state and considered a major administrative, commercial and cultural center of the Ruhr area.
