Café Koppel is a Vegan café that is located in Lange Reihe 77, Hamburg, Germany. The café is owned by Silke Pelka.
The café prides itself in offering culinary that is not only homemade and handmade with a lot of time and attention to detail, but also free of industrially manufactured mass production. Its kitchen values fresh, regional, seasonal and largely ecological ingredients.
While at the café, we highly recommend the mandarin sponge, topped with rich mandarins and filled with a sweet yogurt cream, and vegetarian pasta with a fruity peanut sauce.
2. Café 鶹APP
Considered to be the most beautiful brasserie in Hamburg. Café 鶹APP is an upscale, French-themed café located at Rathausstraße 4, 20095 Hamburg, Germany. It was founded in 1882 in the rooms of a former butcher.
Breakfasts from all over the world are served here, with Italian, English, American, Moroccan and German options available until 4pm.
Café 鶹APP is renowned for its croissants that are buttery, flakey and melt in the mouth, and the hot chocolate.
3. Café Schmidt Elbe
Café Schmidt Elbe is a pastry shop located in Grosse Elbstrasse 212. 22767 Hamburg across the road from fish shacks and fishmongers. It has been in operation since 1950 and in November 2016, the café opened its first branch outside of Hamburg: Schmidtchen Ahrensburg in the delicatessen Delishhuus.
The café bakes with regional and seasonal ingredients and do not use any baking mixes or emulsifiers, resulting in the creation of award-winning breads and rolls every day. Café Schmidt Elbe is Northern Germany’s first certified bread sommelier.
As you visit the café, the most favored menu item is a Leichtes Mädchen (beetroot-raspberry tartlet) and a cappuccino with Waterkant beans.
4. Café Brooks
Café Brooks is located in Hasselbrook str. 37, Hamburg. It was founded by 10 friends, in September 2012, who wanted to create a beautiful space together in which they and others would like to linger and eat and drink delicious food.
The café sources its organic coffee and its organic chocolate/cocoa from fair trade. Milk and organic eggs come from two farms in and around Hamburg. While they rely on fresh produce to prepare and make their own products from scratch.
This café offers you tasty cheesecakes, croissants and brownies.
5. MUTTERLAND Cölln’s
MUTTERLAND Cölln’s is Germany’s oldest Germany’s oldest oyster room. Fish and seafood were traded here as early as 1760. The café is located at Brodschrangen 1-5 Hamburg, Germany which is easy to reach by any transport.

9. Vju im Energiebunker
Also known as Café vju in Energiebunker is located on the south side of the River Elbe at Neuhöfer Straße 7, Hamburg, Germany. The café severs breakfast, refreshing drinks and coffee specialties.
Vju im Energiebunker is actually located in a 30 meters up renovated air bunker which was built in 1943 and used during World War II. With the 360° panorama terrace, the café offers a spectacular 380-degree view of Hamburg.
The café is famed for its dark, rich coffee, which is said to be the best in the region. To accompany the renowned coffee, order some Cinnamon and Sugar Waffle.
10. Alsterpavillon
The Alsterpavillon is an upmarket café located opposite Jungfernstieg shopping street overlooking Lake Alster which are fantastic.
Frenchman Augustin Lancelot de Quatre Barbes opened the first Alsterpavillon on 20 August 1799. For years, it was a traditional restaurant/café where an older demographic filled the large hall for tea and coffee. The café is now run by the Alex chain, it was rebranded to gear to a younger demographic.
